We should cut their subsidies and let them struggle on their own. I've travelled a fair bit and nobody hates us like (some of) them!

Anyway, off topic so back on - looks like Netherlands or Argentina are both quite unstoppable!

My money's on Italy, oh, what? Say again! No way, when did that happen!:rotfl2:

Spain vs Chile, possibly the best match I have seen so far in this tournament. Spain still has not needed to show what it is really made of. They next meet Portugal: a match of the tournament's best midfield versus the best defence?

You may well be right....but (in footballing terms) Spain has never shown a passion for a fight.

This World Cup is working out like WW2 - France have forfeited, the USA turned up late, and England are left to fight the Germans!

Oi ya bugga...dig up ya own one-liners...see #386 :DL

England will beat Germany by penalties, next round we beat Argentina by a handball.

Rooney winks as he gets Ronaldo sent off, then we beat Portugal to Lift the World cup.

Carlsberg don't do World Cups, but if they did... http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/4...kbigid2zj6.gif

C'mon Ghana!

Half time in extra time USA 1 Ghana 2, let's hope tomorrows game is over in normal time! Obviously with an England win 4 - 2.

Jimbuna 06-26-10 03:44 PM

Ghana lead the US 2-1 at the halfway mark in extra time....is the US lucky rabbit foot about to break off?

Ivory Coast done for those naughty Koreans....I wouldn't want to be going back to that sh!thole to find out what kind of 'victory parade' the Inglorious Leader might have in mind :hmmm:

I think you've misread the tea leaves Sky....Paul ate the German mussel :DL

A good game and an honourable draw :yep:

I have the same opinion, Jim...if we play more in the attack we all so have the need to open the game, and that can be very dangerous for our team, we cant forget we are playing against one of the best or the best team in the world!
I think our coach, Carlos Cairós make a efetctive strategy in the field.

Now we must wait for the next match, Portugal vs Spain i hope we can play our style of foothball and i hope we can leave the field with a Victory! :D

Jimbuna 06-26-10 03:59 PM

Portugal v Spain has the potential to be the best match of the whole tournament.

It's sometimes a shame there has to be a loser at the final whistle.

May the best team on the day win.

AngusJS 06-26-10 04:27 PM

S***.

Oh well, our guys fought the good fight.

Jimbuna 06-26-10 04:29 PM

Ghana knock the US out 2-1....a good game and a pretty successful tournament for the US :salute:

Tomorrow brings the old sporting enemies England and Germany to a head :sunny:
