Geez, Jimbuna! I don't mean to sound choosey but I've already spent three nights in Houston on a Whambulance! (Okay okayyy... I got to sleep on the floor in the command center one night.) Still, I don't think my back will ever be the same!

Besides, its creepy sleeping on the truck cot. Too many ghosties sitting on you!:o

We DID however, have that thing loaded down like a good and proper U-boat. We had to move the toilet paper and Oreos to get at the IV supplies and spare monitor batteries.

@Privateer, if you are leaving on the 17th... you're gonna miss everyone by about ten days matey. ;) I recommend being in Houston between the 8th and 12th for best results. :arrgh!:

So I won't rent the hurse then?

Update: The Battleship Texas tour is locked in, I just spoke with the marketing director and we are set for a tour on Friday, Oct 10 at 0830. I've paid the $300 depost for the hard hat tour, so you can decide at that time is you want to take a regular tour or join us for the hard hat tour. The HH tour involves more climbing and walking but you will see parts of the ship no one else has seen. Ask Wildviper, her set this up last year.

Hi Neal,

for those of us who can't attend the meeting but may be, want to send you something, what was your postal address again?

mookiemookie 09-30-08 09:59 AM

There is no Friday October 11th. Do you mean Friday the 10th?

Yeah, this one is really close to my house:

Pay me when you get here, that will be simpler.

@Neal,

Check your e-mail.

Onkel Neal 10-01-08 02:00 PM

hi Chad,

That is not the same hotel but if you can get a room there, it is close enough. I checked and they are all independently owned and operated, so the one here:
http://www.lodginghouston.com/contact.html with the number 713-795-9100 is the one you listed in your previous email.

I just called and now the Scottish Inn & Suites on 11130 Telephone Rd (the one StDev is staying at) and the one you found are now showing full.

You can call central reservations number at 800-251-1962 and use option #2 to make a reservation, then ask about

Red Carpet Inn on 6161 Gulf Fwy
Houston, TX 77023

they have rooms available now.
thanks
Neal

Has anyone checked out the Bed & Breakfast scene.

The ones I've stayed at in the past were nice and very reasonably priced.

Just a thought.

nikimcbee 10-02-08 12:03 PM

Are we still doing the ranch thing?
I can't wait to see Jimbuna do this:

Sailor Steve 10-02-08 12:45 PM

Oh good grief! That's just too silly for words.:rotfl: :sunny:
