More Scottish Labour infighting:

http://labourlist.org/2015/05/mcclus...ght-interview/

http://labourlist.org/2015/05/pro-mu...ship-showdown/

Calls for the Scottish bit to split from the main party (I know, I know, two days late!):

Even the Scottish Conservatives have got in on the act; Looks like Ruth Davidson disagrees with David Cameron on the EU Human Rights Act:

Looks like we may well end up with a separate Scottish Labour Party, but will the Scottish Conservatives be not to far behind in splitting from the Westminster party?:hmmm:

UKIP implosion continues, I think Nigel is beginning to believe his own spin doctors in that he's too valuable to lose. Just stand down Nigel, before you lose the rest of your party. :O:

News media in this country have a nasty habit of milking it, what ever party. See how this pans outs.

In other news on the Labour leadership I see Chuka Umunna as withdrawn fair enough but I feel he should run for deputy leadership which could be better suited for him. :hmmm:

Well, the trouble is, they smell blood in the water, they'll go for it. The fact that Farage said he'd stand down, and then didn't, has put peoples backs up. It's stifled the possibility for new blood in the party, and Farage is proving himself unable to handle the criticism or media inquiries. Carswell is savvy, he already got stung in the expenses scandal, he knows how the media works and how taking that money would have been seen. If anyone is going to replace Farage, he would probably be a good bet.

Put 100 quid on Andy Burnham earlier on in the week, got 3/1he is now 6/4 favourite with Chuka dropping out.

STEED 05-16-15 03:53 AM

Starting to look the spat in UKIP is dying down even after Carswell in the Times today.

Dam media in this country is like a spoiled little brat that throws a bigger wobbler than in most cases the real events.

This may all blow over now. :hmmm:

The Labour leadership campaign has only two runners and one of them has to win a seat first, that being David Milliband and judging what he said looks like he has called it a day. So this leaves Labour with the only possible one that of Andy Burnham who seems to be the only one so far that could do it.

Yvette Cooper is the angle of death, if she gets it labour will loose the election as she is tated being the wife of Ex-MP Ed Balls. As for Liz Kendall and Mary Creaghjust can't see it.

A date which will live in infamy....

My prediction for the Summer Budget is as follows

More hardship for the poor while the 1 % benefit from extortionate pay rises and happy smiling faces at the expense of everyone else in the UK.

Maybe the Chancellor will offer every taxpayer in the UK an IPAD, LAPTOP, and IPHONE as a gift in his Summer Budget as his colleagues in parliament seem to think they deserve these items on taxpayers money which is funding their expensive lifestyles.

I'm undecided who I'll vote for seeing as how I don't rate any of the candidates.

My initial hunch is that Andy Burnham will win.

MGR1 05-16-15 10:57 AM

I remember that when they had the Scottish Labour leadership election, my mum and I received voting forms due to both of us being UNITE members.

The really stupid thing was the forms said "do note vote if you are not a Labour Party member". Since neither myself or my mum are Labour members, the forms were shredded and binned.

How much money was wasted printing and then sending out forms to people who shouldn't be getting them? Talk about idiocy - just because your in a Union doesn't mean to say you support Labour!

I'm half expecting to get forms for this leadership contest!:/\\!!

Mike.
