My all-time favorite History Channel moment was the day I turned it on and it was - what do they call it, "Reel History"? Where they show some movie and then have some "expert" there to discuss the history involved with the host before/after the commercial breaks.

Okay, I've seen Patton on there and some other pretty good movies that made sense if the History Channel is going to show a movie and talk about it. But that one day I turned it on and they were showing one of Mel Gibson's "mad Max" movies.

I didn't stick around to see what aspects of "history" the expert was discussing in connection with it.

That said I do normally hit the HC and its associated channels first when I turn on the TV.
