I disagree, use a Lambo on an autobahn and you're sure to get into to trouble one way or another -

I remember around 1990 I was driving my parents who had been staying with us for a week back for their flight home from Schiphol Airport. I was driving a two litre Granada and adhering to the speed limit, my father commented on how fast some of the German plated cars were travelling and I said something like "They think they're on the autobahn....not quite yet Fritz".

A few mile down the road I'm pulled over by a Dutch cop and given an 80 Guilder speeding ticket

I know the last one is a Porsche 911 turbo s and the colour is hatefull, but if anyone has a spare £130,000 I'll suffer it

:arrgh!:

Well, I hope you didn't train the Old Bill (US:cops) who I had in front of me today, doing a full stop on the left lane, without switching their freaking headlights on. :damn:. Was too busy hitting the brakes just like the guy in front of me - I didn't even had time to roll down the windows and shout some expression at them which would show my praise for their smart behaviour.

However this is more like German Autobahns look like today:

Imagine some more weird lane changes, millions of traffic signs and the lanes painted by the more unsober folks, and you have my daily commute.
The pic is from a report, stating this summer we had 1284km of construction going on  - with a total Autobahn length of about 12000. This means in average one construction nearly every 6km.... Though it seems 1283km of the construction goes on in my state.
/rant over, gonna have a smoke now :|\\
