Speaking of burning bridges.

It was the night of June 28/29th 1942. The partisans of the Cankar Battalion destroyed a railroad bridge in Moste (2km from my home), cutting off the entire railroad line from Austria to Ljubljana, dealing a severe blow to Wehrmacht logistics. The enemy shot 28 hostages on July 1st in retaliation.
