Hi guys - this is my first post so please be gentle with me :D.

I've found five pages of screenshots over at http://www.jeuxvideopc.com/screensho...f-the-pacific/

Having read through this thread I think about 30 screenshots are new (60 in total) - a mix of action and interface material. The images were posted on 22/02/2007.

I hope I'm not repeating old news.

Nice to be here - time for a beer.

Someone said that the damage control looked lame but looking at the screenshot I noticed that there is no Hull damage % reading which is good for realisim sake.

Welcome aboard Tigerteeth and Flanker15 :arrgh!:

oh well...

oh well...okay, okay... using the term "lame" was an emotional response, i confess lol
what i do not like is the fact you don't get to see things like water flooding the compartments, fire animations etc... wich is important to me as they immerse you more. I've really hoped they would even do better than what was in SH3 but it's a sad regression instead. In fact the best one so far was SH1. I know this is just simples things, just animations and so on but i would have liked to see that. Even more, whith nowadays computers they could have modelled some water (with transparency and reflexion) slowly flooding the 3d compartments as in a FPS. would be a simple things to do. Nevertheless, damage model is really important in WWII era subsims as it makes for really tense "hollywood like" moments ;)

It almost looks as if there using spirites for the trees and stuff on the coast line, if they are using spirites for stuff thats pretty far out I can see how they increased graphics so well.

There's a bunch of new screenshots at this Spanish gaming site:

damn! cool :)

thanks for that link ;)
Damn, are those screens looks good! The ocean has never looked so realistic in a game, we're really close to photorealism now! And at least! some underwater shots! Well, i'm a little disapointed to see that those early shots we saw were indeed heavily photoshoped and ingame pics are not that close but still, it does look impressive and movie-like!!
