Hal was a real "go to" player when a solid, professional, creative, and reliable drummer was called for; as part of the world famous "Wrecking Crew" group of studio musicians based out of the Hollywood recording studios, he helped shape the sounds and launch the careers of countless musical acts. Hal was a "drummer's drummer", someone who all other drummers, from the famous pros to the beginning drummers looked to as a model and inspiration.
