The problem still remains that if there are no records of it, it's just Trump's word and since this wasn't the first line of defense Trump took it can be easily questioned whether he is telling the truth.

IIRC, he first denied there being documents, then suggested FBI planted them, next he tried to blame Obama and then he finally said he had a "standing order" that anything he took from the Oval Office would automatically be declassified.

It also confirms that Trump was aware of the documents as the statement said Trump often took documents with him so he could work from home (lol), which puts to question why he didn't return them as NARA asked?

Something tells me they haven't really thought this one trough. :hmmm:

its so much toss dude. Ultimately even if he is convicted there are enough conservative justices that since it is unprecedented it could be appealed and appealed. Its just going to end up costing the tax payers a bunch of money and all the bureaucrats get paid their salaries.
