Here's the Scottish Conservative Party's 2015 Election broadcast:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jd1_lYAmnm4

I dare say some the Real Conservatives(tm) are gnashing their teeth and wailing over this!!!:haha:

It'll be interesting to see if it has any effect as Scotland will be split between those voting SNP and those who are voting tactically for any party likely to stop them.

Scuttlebutt says that many Tory voters are going to vote Labour or Lib Dem in order to try and stop the Nats.:hmmm:

Mike.

Believe it or not, they get anywhere between 10-20% of the vote up here. The problem they have is that it's evenly spread throughout Scotland, rather than concentrated.

For example, they had 16.7% of the vote in the 2010 election and got one MP, whilst the Lib Dems had 18.9% and returned eleven MP's.

They do much better at Holyrood under the Proportional Representation system. Hence, whilst the main party is against PR for UK wide elections, the Scottish bit is in favour of it.:03:

TBH, if they do badly in the Holyrood elections next year, I can see them splitting off and setting up a completely independent Scottish centre-right party. I wouldn't be too surprised if Scottish Labour ended up doing the same at some point in the future, in the name of survival, if no other.

In which case, Scotland ends up like Northern Ireland, sending MP's to Westminster, but not really participating in running the UK. Although from the perspective of elements within England, that would be no bad thing! Such is the way of things at the moment!:hmmm:

Mike.:salute:

LONDON (Reuters) - Britain's governing Conservatives plan to renew a failed pledge to reduce net migration below 100,000 a year if they are re-elected in May, a senior minister said, despite current levels running at around triple that.

If elected, Ed Miliband has promised to reduce student fees. 'I was lucky enough to go to a paid school' he said, 'and I want the same kind of excellent education to be available to 80% of youngsters - with only the other 30% going to state schools.'

The Prime Minister is refusing to take part in a head-to-head TV showdown during the campaign and told broadcasters his "final offer" is one debate involving at least seven party leaders.

This Toff speaks big but when it comes to the crunch he blames everyone else. Look you royal knob head it's between you and Ed for PM that much is clear if you or Ed win outright, if not then one of you will have to open up talks. Until then this is a debate not the aftermath so get on with and stop pussy footing around.

Let the debates go ahead with a spare podium where Cameron would have been standing.

Broadcasters stand firm!!

I don't know why everyone's going crazy about the photo of a weasel riding on the back of woodpecker.
Isn't that what happened at the last election?

STEED 03-07-15 04:25 AM

And your next government is Tory coalition with Labour to keep the SNP at bay.

Sounds bloody silly or scraping the bottom of the barrel so we just put the Tories back in.

Will Cameron rule out a pact or coalition with UKIP and DUP?
BossMark or Jim send that to Ed if you can and lets see old Toff Boy get out of that one.
