Ughhh, the carnage is starting already.
|
Bahhh, run 10m and it's off.
|
USA getting great runs at the net, playing decent defense, just cannot deliver... At best I hope for a draw, I want to advance to the 16 at least before we tank it.
USA! GO GO GO!:sunny: |
US is doing a fine game, they may score one or more goals. I'm not seeing portugal scoring one more goal.
edit:I rest my case! |
GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAL!
All the damn attempts at that Portuguese net, one finally went in! |
*faints*
Just hold on boys, 8 more minutes...:o |
Stunning finish!
Great job Portugual! I am devastated.:wah: |
No need to be devastated.
US are still in it, they need a draw against us and they go through. Same with Germany, a draw is all they need. US should have won the game and buried Portugal early on in the match. A few things to note: Klinsmann was quoted as saying they need to beat Germany now. Wrong. A draw is good enough. Tim Howard committed himself way too early in the Nani goal, he 'sat down' way too early, to stop Nani going low. Bad mistake. Committing too early. The 56th minute, Bradley presented with a gaping wide net, and he picked out Ricardo Costa expertly. Bad miss. Another lacklustre performance by Crybaby (Ronaldo), the only magic moment came 30 seconds from full-time in extra time, with his cross. Inch perfect precision. He's a far cry from the man that led Real Madrid. Excuse the pun. |
Lucky lucky lucky lucky lucky Portugal!!!!!
Germany and Portugal will probably play second choice players for match practice purposes in their enconter resulting in a draw and justice will have been seen to be done. |
Germany and the US, you mean...?! :)
I believe momentums cannot easily be started, nor regained once traded out of hand, and the Germans already have their critical situation. I am against them playing for a draw, therefore, I want a clear victory to bring them into the swing, to have them regaining the momentum they need in the k.o. rounds of the tournament. No follies please, guys! You play for winning this match, not for reaching a mutual agreement. BTW, any foolish attitude by the Germans could see them loosing it against the Americans. I'm sorry that a German victory would ruin it for the US team, I would like to see them advancing before Portugal whom I see as a great disappointment. But the interests of the German team is closer to me than that of the US team. I think Klinsmann will tell the US boys the same. And so most likely there will be no boring ball-pushing, but a fighting match indeed. That also is sportsmanship. It's a green field, not a green table. Also, Germans do not want a second "disgrace of Gijon". --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_Ge...80%930_Austria |
Yep, I meant Germany and the US :)
TBH I reckon Ghana will beat Portugal anyway. |
