Still aiming for a lunchtime getaway, cross the bridge and through Pickering, the only bit I see slowing me down is actually finding the hotel in York.

If the station will have a pub or cafe I'll be a patron of said establishment

I'll be driving a black Ford Galaxy. Not the 60s version but the euro people mover. If I can find a park I'll also be wearing a cap which is pretty recognisable.
