I think I'm gonna enjoy all the Japanese-related humor we'll get once SHIV rolls out as much as Ensign Parker :p

Oh, and if you'll forgive me for adding something completely off-topic, do any of you get a Final Fantasy feeling when seeing those people stroll around on the battleship? It makes me want to take control of one of them and walk him around the ship, hitting the 'X' key to interact with the other sailors.

Barkhorn.

I agree. Question? Was the Brewster a carrier aircraft? I do not think so:hmm:. It was asked to have the arresting hook but I do not believe it saw service on the carriers.

Sailor Steve 02-27-07 11:59 AM

Yes, the Buffalo was a carrier aircraft, and he's right; I was so excited I just assumed, and I assumed wrong.
The very first squadron went to USS Saratoga. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brewster_Buffalo

On the other hand, I will reiterate my pet peeve: the plural of Buffalo is Buffaloes. Plurals NEVER use an apostrophe (').

I would also like to take this opportunity to point out that, while I have since corrected it in my own post, AVG's copy clearly shows that I misspelled apostrophe.

Safe-Keeper 02-27-07 12:12 PM

Roman Buffali! Charge teh gaulz!

But no, plurals don't use apostrophes. Or apostraphes, for that matter:p.

Biggles 02-27-07 07:25 PM

Anyone think that the planes will actually FALL OFF the carrier when it goes down?:)

Safe-Keeper 02-27-07 07:27 PM

Nah, they're still super-glued to the carrier deck:p.

Have you seen the video where a BB is hit by a torpedo? Right after the impact the BB's seaplane is thrown into the water. This makes me believe that they will fall off... hopefully.

That's why I mentioned it. I don't give anybody a break, even my other self.
