no offends, but just how many vertices can that model have? what software are you working with? in milkshape, i can do models of 30.000 vertices without trouble. shiv can handle 100.000+. and the gun does not look like high-poly, maybe it is just badly modelled. you should start doing your own models to control that. e.g. the Front-Door antenna of my juliett counts nearly 12.000 vertices with correct smoothing and welding , without the housing and the gear!

The game yes, but not S3D. I believe around 50,000 is the max value for S3D.

jhapprich 06-08-12 05:49 AM

max value for s3d is higher than 100.000.

Whenever I try to import a 100,000+ vertice model S3D gets an error.

Just found a beautiful Atago class 3D model. Beefed it up a little and here it is:

Because of the Japanese constitution forbids offensive weapons, the Tomahawk ain`t included. Instead, you get the RIM-66 and RIM-161.

If I can find a 3D model of that one then maybe.

Oh and I have succesfully wedded the hydrophone and sonar into one system. The upgrade entry for both the hydrophone and sonar are no longar needed. Now I will replace one of the two Tomahawk versions with the SM-2 from the Atago. I will also make an American version of the Tarnmatte to reduce the radar cross section of the ship to give it some realistic stealth carachteristics, as the Burke was built with some stealth measures. Will add that one later to the Atago and the Type 45. The Udaloy won`t get it as it has absolutely no stealth in its design.

Just made a video of the Burke. It shows how it handels rough sea and you get a tour of the Burke.

Hello,

Where can I download all of this stuff?
I found on your page only the Iowa in 1.0 version.
There are no Tomahawk missiles with nuclear W90 Warheads and Mark 23 nuclear projectiles for 16". RGM-84 Harpoon missiles are not working...
Model hes no textures.
But it is a great job after all.
Keep it up (!)

Regards,
SL

The ship does have textures, but no nuclear weapons. The nuclear shell was not in use in the 80s and 90s. In what way are the Harpoons not working?
