Yup, the first contact was nose first, then the car spun a few times and ended up against the wall arse first.

I am a bit 50/50 on that accident, on one hand its stupid to crash the car on the last lap when your team could use the points against Ferrari in the team championship and the only way you are getting by the car in front is if HE makes a mistake, on the other hand its great to see all out ballsy racing.

Kapt Z 09-13-09 05:37 PM

I think LH was right about the accident. The car just got away from him. Tough break, but just a 'racing' incident.

Great to see Rubens doing so well.

Exit Briatore & Symmonds!

Yeah, finally that jerk is gone.:yeah:
Let's see what back door he has to come back.....

Ask me and the whole Renault team would be out of F1. :nope:

bert8for3 09-16-09 03:12 PM

Won't miss FB one bit. I wonder if Renault will now pull out figuring it's just not worth it.

XabbaRus 09-16-09 03:15 PM

Well I think Renault might continue but Flabio and Symonds are finished.

Not that either need the money.

Renault should have been punished just like McLaren were for having another teams technical information...the irony being it was McLaren's data they had.

bert8for3 09-17-09 07:39 AM

New MasterCard commercial:

If Renault leaves F1, -$100
Flavio B leaves F1, -$0.01
Team Lotus back in F1, priceless :woot:

bert8for3 09-21-09 10:54 AM

So FB gets the boot, basically for life (they call it "indefinitely") and PS gets a 5-year suspension. Renault gets off the hook (sort of) with a suspended ban.

Fair enough on the whole I guess. FB also cannot continue to represent any drivers, which is good to see considering how he seemed to disregard his role as manager for some drivers (or at least NPjr).

I have to feel (some) degree of sympathy for NTjr, whom FB used to the hilt and then threw away. It's about time that F1 barred team people from also being drivers' managers ... something about conflict of interest comes to mind.

Schroeder 09-21-09 01:38 PM

I don't know. Compared to the fuss they made about McLaren and their 100 million $ fine for spying it seems a bit unfair that there is practically no punishment for putting lives at risk.:hmm2:

Jimbuna 09-21-09 01:45 PM

Good riddance to them both.....zero tolerance with cheats in the sporting arena. :nope:

bert8for3 09-27-09 08:31 AM

Ugh, dull dull race imho. 16 laps left and I'm recording the rest to zip through on ffwd. Only glimmer of possible excitement was Rosberg close on Hamilton, but that got scuppered by R's penalty for going over the pit lane exit line, then Vettel close to Hamilton, but shot to heck with another penalty.

Dowly 09-27-09 08:38 AM

Kimi havent got laid or something? How the hell can he be that slow?! Jebus, he's behind Nakajima for ****'s sake! :nope:

EDIT: Ow wait, he prolly had a quickie in his car, he's gotten past Nakajima at some point. Yaay.
