Is this okay for the AA gun's fire?

Also a shot of the smoke effect behind the actual Muzzle flash for guns

And this oil and fuel fire is from a shot down plane. I have adjusted them to be proportionate
to the type of ship and planes and other objects so it works better.

The larger the gun the larger the muzzle flash and the more smoke that will be behind it.
There will be more fire types so you can see what is actualy going on all Fuel and Oil fire's
are differn't from other types of cargo. Explosions are differn't for each type of cargo as well.

BTW did you notice the new Hud work for my sub? Trying a Brushed Brass one out now instead of the one that matches the Dials to the right. And the accent is a tarnished Copper color with transparent buttons on the left top of it.

Looks good to me, dont think they need to be any bigger, considering the cal. size:up::up:

Looks good Leo, the smoke from the DG looks very good. Read that US guns gave off a lot of smoke and flash compared to the Japanese so that effect looks quite authentic. :yep:

This Mod is looking better and better every day! Execellent work:up:

Some more day and night water/sky samples. Number two picture looks menacing.

roger that. this mod is like a fine wine. uncork it too soon, it'll never reach its full potential. it's time to stop with the "gimmiegimmiegimmieiwantitnow and let them do what they do best without being pestered every 2 minutes like kids in the backseat of a car asking "arewethereyet arewethereyet"?

a few yrs ago, PC gamer did a story on the next game gods. the guys working on this are the next game mod gods. i'ld put these modders right up there with them in what they do so well:rock: . i'm really curious as to what the original devs think about the work done here, tho i suspect some are kicking their @$$ wondering why that or this wasn't done:-?

The new Pacific Sunset

Kriller2 reworked the sky textures again to make it so the sunsets and sun rises will not look the same each will be differn't from the other vs sun rise to sun set. Then I reworked the scene.dat file to show more of the colors on the ocean and side of the sub and this is the result. For a SUN SET! And as you can see the foam effect from the sub's movment picks up some of the color from the sunset now.

BTW that is the new Brush Brass and Tarnished Copper HUD that Jaketoox made for me if anyone is interested in one for their own sub with JimMidred's Shinny Boarder's Brass Dial work mixed into it.

An Artist stands back and say’s finished, walks away and puts down his tools.

I’ve seen this visual effect go from one extreme to another, yet where is the conclusion or is it a hobby?

Is it one more tweak because I can or is it one more difference because it looks better.

I think it’s a compassion for what can only be a perfection of what the community and all simulation enthusiast can only dream of come true.

Great job on the graphics mod team!

Sky is looking good. Is it just me or are the color depth issues with the sky, gradient look, gone now?

leovampire 09-17-07 08:56 PM

Good eye Seadogs

With some new research and work some of the old problems in the game are fading away and things are blending together much better.

And longam your right there is a fine line between passion and obsesion in trying for perfection. God had it easy he didn't have to work with any limitations seeing it wasn't a game created by another human being he got to start from scratch. Also nice mirror site you have for the game didn't notice it before looks nice!

If you compair the first pictures in this post with the new one's at the end you can see how far this has come just in sun set's alone.

Someone once said on this thread it was unrealistic to see light rays deep under the ocean looking up but that isn't true what was unrealistc was to see the reflections of the waves on an object as you go deeper under the ocean's surface so I have adjusted the light reflections from the waves under water so that now as you dive deeper they no longer appear on the sub's hull until you start comming closer to the surface of the ocean. And then enhanced them so when your on the surface they reflect off of the hull a lot more. Plus trying to make it so as the waves and weather gets worse all of the reflections go away more and more.

I don't know if you can make this out well enough but

Where the moon is in this picture is above and kind of in back of the mountains a way so only the shadow of that mountain can bee seen but the lower land area is well lit up. One of the new real life effect's I managed to bring into play in the game. Instead of the grayish flickering land mass you would normaly see in the game for a back ground view. And a Dawn view of the shadow effect.
