STEED 10-05-14 05:05 AM

All hope of a good creepy Dr Who episode died and then went down hill, yet another episode wasted. Next weeks train in space looks like the slippery slope of vintage Dr Who. Get rid of these script writers they are making a mess of this series.

STEED 10-05-14 05:12 AM

This series so far is the worst series for me and a few others I know who agree and one of them is writing a letter to the BBC complaining.

Rhodes 10-05-14 06:02 AM

Yeap, the episode was going fine (for me) until the

the moon is an egg!!!???!!!:stare::/\\!!

You chaps aren't in the minority, apparently the guy who wrote the episode deleted his twitter account because of the...shall we say, rather negative feedback he was getting from social media...

Serves him right. :arrgh!:

We had a potentially a good creepy episode and I was prepared to over look the spiders as germs but then the brown stuff hit the fan and the creepy episode was blown out the window for a right stupid load of pigs swill that followed.

Rhodes 10-05-14 06:51 AM

:haha: Poor guy!

But I do not know what S.Moffat is doing! He's a continuity freak and he's been doing a good job with the series since taking over the show.
For me, the first season of the new doctor is always weak compared with the second one, let's see if they get show on rails again! :O:

Next one is so

Conservation of mass people.
An egg does not gain weight as the fetus matures

(maybe a little, taking in moisture from the surrounding)

Yeah, the science in that episode was cringingly bad. TBH the only good part of that episode for me was Mary-Sue...I mean Claras rant at the end and her talk with Danny, that was a nice bit of emotional development, but the rest was pretty meh.

You mean Jenna Coleman.
Mary-Sue was that other servant at the Noir Hotel :03:

:haha: Nah, I meant Clara Oswald.

In fan fiction, a Mary Sue is an idealized character
So was her figure :D

I meant Mary-Sue from York :O:

And Karen Gillian is a bit small around the tropic of cancer and tropic of capricorn

I dunno...I actually quite liked that one...I think though that Clara should not have been in it, her presence and especially the last ten minutes completely undid all of the character development from the episode before it (which was the only good bit in that episode).
I also think that having the train in space was just cliché and it could have been done on the ordinary Orient Express with perhaps then the

reveal that it was a holographic setup on an alien planet or something.

Rhodes 10-13-14 08:42 AM

Galaxy Express influences!

Besides that, I also liked the episode, far better than the previous, but that wasn't hard. I would like to know who or what GUS was. If he knew what/who the Doctor is, that would be a good villain for future episodes. I miss the Master, or other renegade Time Lord!

Let's see if they are on track now! :D

No not buying it. Just another botched story line, time these writers to get the....:/\\chop

I'm not sure whether I'll even watch anymore :hmmm:

Sailor Steve 10-13-14 11:00 AM

I thoroughly enjoyed this one. :sunny:

Except for the part about (the part below really is a spoiler, so don't read it if you haven't seen the episode)

setting it up to look like Clara was leaving, then not having her leave. I thought that was a cheat.
