And just look at that smoke. MAAAN!

at the first picture: how it becomes that a big ,massive gun turret is floating like the liferafts?

Jimbuna 02-26-07 01:13 PM

Point taken :yep: but an awesome picture nevertheless

Could it be that the turret is still in the barbette and the stern is already beneath the waves.

Some screenshoot from the MS Team review:

I think the stern is down in that picture also.

You are correct sir, the Kongo class BB "Y" turret located far to the rear and on a lower deck than the "X" turret.

Barkhorn.

I tried to identify the ship and thought of the 'Kongo' but the ship on the screenshot is so crippled (funnels are missing e.g.) that I wasn't sure.

Thanks for the screens - most are a bit on the dark side - which obscures some detail.

ATTENTION - AG124! New US a/c model spotted - in the first shot on the carrier deck - Brewster Buffalo's.

Yea, I'm pretty sure that's a Kongo as the 2nd to last picture is from the same sequence and shows what happened a few minutes before no doubt.

Ooooooh, nice!:sunny:

Wildcats on carrier deck!

Map showing fleet movements plus areas of Japanese domination!

Awesome-looking spreading wake ripples!

A bit of management-screen confusion: I thought that I, II, and III would be the watch shifts, but that first screen shows I, I, and II? On the other hand, it now says "Control Room" instead of "Command Room"!

We finally see a shot of the "Machinery" screen, and it appears to be a very detailed damage-control layout!

I can't stand all this excitement! I have to go take a nap!

Paajtor 02-26-07 05:58 PM

check out this one...:o

Sailor Steve 02-26-07 06:15 PM

Yeah, I love that new "See what's just below the surface" stuff.

flintlock 02-26-07 06:16 PM

Now that's an awesome shot, Paajtor!

Actually, those are Brewster Buffalo's in that first shot - look at the tail and the landing gear.

I like that briefing map, too, with the arrows and marked territories and ship icons and whatnot.

Oh, and if you'll forgive me for adding something completely off-topic, do any of you get a Final Fantasy feeling when seeing those people stroll around on the battleship? It makes me want to take control of one of them and walk him around the ship, hitting the 'X' key to interact with the other sailors.

Tidus: Where on Earth is Yuna? Have you seen her, ensign Yoshi?
Ensign Yoshi: She went below-decks with Barret, kemosabe.
Lt. Cid: Yeah, said she wanted to see his blitz balls--
Tidus: Oh ****:o.
[Something big breaks surface 50 feet off, action music starts]
Tidus: Oh my God, Sin!
[Turrets traverse and take object out]
Lt. Cid: ...False alarm yet again, just 'nother Yankee sub. They always surface near these battleships.
