Two questions:

- How do you switch DeckGun ammo type using this mod?
- The attack disk seems broken (or different) from the one used in MaGui, the speeds have another scale - is there any documentation for this? is it a bug?

Answer to the first question - if you use GWX, there is only one ammo type, HE. Weapons management under "I" key. I dont' know what happens if you dont' use GWX.
Second - a few posts earlier there was a patch which repaired speed red line placement.

Hi.
I was able to change optical properties of both periscopes in cameras.dat. I recommend setting Angular Angle to 70 for Attack scope (default was 60) and 72 for Observation Scope (default was 60).

Then "10" mark is on attack scope equals to 5,7degrees which is 100 mills at 1,5 zoom, and Angular Field of View is near 38 degrees for 1,5 zoom and 9 for 6x zoom as historically correct.

This way you can use graticule to measure the distance using simple maths
for 1,5 zoom Distance=Height x 1000/number of mills, where "10" means 100 mills and graticule step is 20 mills (5 divisions for 100 mills)
for 6x zoom the distance is 4 times the distance for 1,5 zoom.

or use Hitman tables.

For Attack Scope, RAOBF works good. For operating it you don't count mills but tick marks, as normally.

HOWEVER
can you help mi with this: as I changed Angular FOV in cameras.dat I see now both stock graticule scaled in degrees and Ahnenerbe's gratucule scaled in mills on the same scope. How to get rid of one of them? Can it be caused by using M.E.P. v6 and MEP optical sensors for GWX in connection to Ahnenerbe's WideGUI?

Hi all, running win10 64 bit with GWX 3 and h.sie patch. Large address aware also.
Fm_newinteriors too!

As soon as I install this mod, I get intro videos, and then a black screen, but the game still loads, since I can hear the main menu music playing.
I've tried everything. Windowed mode "works" as in, I can see a third of the screen.
Turned everything off in Nvidia control panel, uninstalled k-lite codec pack, clean-installed drivers, ran all compatibility modes with and without administrator, used a non standard install directory (with no spaces!)
But still no joy. Standard res on win98 compat. works fine, but on an HD screen it's really showing its age. Oh, and I also installed directx 9.0c.

Any proposed solutions are welcome. I'm including a dxdiag for anyone interested.

Hi rssics
First of all can you run an unmodded game by going into the Naval Academy and is the problem still there?
What driver version are you running?
You will find it here, mine is 376.53.

There seems to be issues appearing more frequently on the forum regarding black screen or sound and no pictures with the game crashing.
My suspicions would be around WIndows 10 updates and with it Microsoft updating incompatible drivers like the 382.05 one.
This seems to be borne out by re-installing the game drivers has cured the problem.

Here is a fix that worked with the same as yours.

I'm not at the pc right now but I updated my drivers yesterday, clean install, so they're the most recent WHQL release. I will look for the exact version when I'm back :)

Hello.
Does anyone know how to get rid of the second graticule? After adjusting cameras.dat to proper field of view - I got this:

Where is the second graticule from? I mean the one with zoom number - i would like to get rid of it. It shows well in degrees while the other shows well in mills, but i would like to have only in mills.

What file is responsible for that?

EDIT:
simple thing - thanks to Hitman, to solve that you should only switch zoom parameters - the default not 1,5 but 6 and vice versa - the second one not 6 but 1,5. It works. So now periscope is completed ! :-) Thanks, Hitman

Hi All

FYI. I had the same problem posted by rssics above. Win 10 64bit, latest (384.76) NVIDIA driver on an old GTX690, except I am running sh3 in win7 compatibility mode. Exactly the same symptoms.

Following the link kindly provided by Theberbster, a couple of posts above, to the post by james_nix, I set my main cfg to Synchronized=Yes.
Now running in 1920 1080. Yay!

My thanks to all the above mentioned. o7

This mod is ESSENTIAL to me. :yeah:

Had the same problem as the post above!

Synchronized=Yes

in the main.cfg fixed it after many hours of headscratching.
