For the life of me I still can't figure out auto TDC. I have a campaign save where I have a Polish destroyer dead in my sights, 600m away 90 degrees off the bow, I'm at all stop with a 3 torpedo salvo ready to go. No matter what I do the torpedoes go where the destroyer is when I target it, not where it will be.
Since there's no way I am ready for manual TDC at this stage this is incredibly frustrating. Does anyone have any tips? All I'm doing is locking and unlocking the ship, then putting my periscope on the part of the ship I want to hit as it says in the video for auto TDC. |
Are your torpedo tube doors open prior to pushing the "Fire!" button?
|
Yes, all are open, speed set to fast, all torpedoes are of the same type.
Does telling the torpedo officer person (apologies for my ignorance of the proper title) to calculate a firing solution have anything to do with the problem? |
