The game is not able to handle launching missiles so launching torpedoes is the next best thing. hopefully if ubisoft gives us a cold war era game, missiles will never really be the way we would like.......such a shame :nope:

Now that we were on the subject of sinking tankers. Here is a video for you to enjoy until I can get the ships released.

Very nice, I like the rapid firing the turret has, adds so much to realism. very nice indeed, good work :yeah:

jhapprich 05-29-12 08:53 AM

nice nice nice but what that ship needs is a REAL TEXTURE and some SMOOTHING!

The Type 45? It does have textures, came with it. Just modified it. The vertices are unwelded which means that the model is smoothed.

jhapprich 05-29-12 09:13 AM

nope. the texture is not properly adjusted. there are some stretched-looking areas and it seems that some sides of the model are not textured from the right direction.there are sharp edges where should be smooth curves.

The ship has the correct radar and sonar suite. AK-100 100mm, AK-130 130mm, Kashtan CIWS, AK-630 CIWS, SS-N-14 Silex, SS-N-22 Sunburn, and SA-N-9 Gauntlet are included.

And no, the nationality in game is not Russian. I tried that. Could`t dock and/or refit at Pearl. American, as well as Japanese ships were neutral. Completely screwing up the campaign.

Oh I have an idea, sorry to hijack lol......Jhapprich, if Karle sends you the file of my Astute, could you see why it won't load into missions and campagin.

All I did was re-assign ID's and rename it like you said and now she won't load in, would that be ok??

j225r 05-29-12 03:29 PM

i should give you a tutorial like " welding and smoothing for beginners". MAN, nice model, but why don`t you texture it and edit the surfaces properly? do you like that plastic look?

By unwelding it it has too many vertices to go in. Which means that I have to delete things and/or copy the deleted parts into their seperate files. Because of the high vertice count that takes quite long time.
