Good predictions Neal. However, each game is a throw down do or die.

Here is a question on teams that are out of the running....do you think they drag their feet when playing because in the end the game is meaningless to them or do you believe they go all out?

Hard to say, I think they start the game trying 100%, out of professionalism, job security, and pride. But if their team gets behind, they are more likely to quit and just get it over with. In the next two weekends, about the only teams out of it in the AFC chase are the Chiefs, Browns, and Seabirds.

Yeah, and I heard reports today that the Vikes coach is extremely pissed at Favre for unbenching himself. Oh my, this is gonna be good. :dead:

Possibly. If I were a coach I would play my other guys on the team. Set up for next year type deal.

I think that's what the Indy Colts did last year, took it easy for the last couple of games and then lost to San Diego in the AFC playoffs first game.

In fact the last time Indy lost was in the AFC playoffs last year after it was already determined that the MVP was Manning who was also voted to the pro bowl and then they got beat by San Diego and remember Rivers was not voted to the pro bowl.

Same this year it's all about the undefeated Colts and how good Manning is, but in fact there is a good chance that the same thing will happen to Indy again this year on the way to the Super Bowl and get beat by the San Diego Chargers in the playoff AFC title game.

Week 16
Chargers at Titans - Chargers
Texans at Dolphins - Dolphins
Jaguars at Patriots - Patriots
Chiefs at Bengals - Bengals
Ravens at Steelers - Ravens
Broncos at Eagles - Broncos
Jets at Colts - Colts

Week 17
Jaguars at Browns - Jags
Bengals at Jets - Bengals
Patriots at Texans - Patriots
Steelers at Dolphins - Steelers
Titans at Seahawks - Titans
Ravens at Raiders - Ravens
Redskins at Chargers - Chargers
Chiefs at Broncos - Broncos

I changed a few of them mostly Texans and Ravens, but I don't know what that comes out to for the playoffs.

I see a lot of them struggling at seven losses, but remember San Diego won the last four games last year to finish 8-8 and went to the playoffs.

AVGWarhawk 12-23-09 09:08 PM

You got the Ravens beating the Steelers!!! Good man, good man! :yeah:

mr chris 12-24-09 03:13 AM

Anyone think Chris Johnson will beat the all time rushing yards in a season?

Onkel Neal 12-24-09 01:19 PM

No, I don't think he can do it in 2 games. He would need something like 190 yards per game. It's possible... but who knows.

Onkel Neal 12-25-09 10:51 PM

This is a nice toy! Playoff sorter online. :yeah:

Charger looked primed for the playoff, they manhandled TT.

nikimcbee 12-27-09 04:09 PM

Wow, I found the ravens playbook on-line:

1. Get pistol.
2. insert round
3. aim at foot
4. pull trigger
5. repeat as necessary
:o

Aramike 12-27-09 04:32 PM

Packers just annihilated the Seahawks on their way into the playoffs. So good they were, Rodgers sat out the 4th quarter - killing my fantasy football team. :x:yeah:;):smug::ping:

:o

Same as the Seahawks playbook. Just substitute head for foot. :nope:

So, if these predictions play out, when the dust settles,

Colts will win the South 16-0
Chargers win the West 13-3
Patriots win the East 10-6
Bengals win the North 11-5

That leaves
Broncos 9-7
Ravens 9-7
Texans 9-7
Steelers 9-7
Titans 8-8
Jags 8-8
Dolphins 7-9
Jets 7-9

Meaning (if I have the tie breakers right), Ravens and Broncos go in as wildcards.

But if KC can upset Denver, Houston should be in!

Ok, so looks like I missed one,

Week 16
Chargers at Titans - Chargers
Texans at Dolphins - Texans
Jaguars at Patriots - Patriots
Chiefs at Bengals - Bengals
Ravens at Steelers - Steelers
Broncos at Eagles - Eagles
Jets at Colts - JETS :o Stupid Indy coach, would you have pulled the starters and let an undefeated season go down the drain? Sheesh!

I probably wouldn't have, but in truth I don't know how many nagging injuries those guys have been playing with and it's logical to want them healed up for playoffs.

If I wanted to rest\heal up my studs I wouldn't have started them in the first place. To yank them in a tight game makes little sense to me.

Yup, your Rogers and my Clark!

What was worse is Maroney fumbling at the one yard line and never getting to set foot on the field again in a game where lots of rushing yards were to be had.

If he scores on that play it's +6 points for me plus he plays all afternoon. Instead, he's a total bust. :nope:
Then the Giants are so far behind they go for it on 4th down in the redzone twice late in the game and fail....Easy fieldgoals for Tynes but he never gets the opportunity.

Sometimes I hate that game. :damn:

Good luck with Longwell tonight. The Vikes are overdue to light up the scoreboard.

Yeah, it was a strange week, and is going to be an oddly low scoring championship game.

Who would have thought it would come down to a kicker?

A lot of teams live and die by the kicker. I know the Raven's have quite a few times. I do not know why the canned Stover. Dumb move IMO.
