Just to explain the dedication we have to this
Kriller2 has been going outside of his house everyday taking pictures of the sunset's and sun rises to see how and when colors and light from the sun come's into play and has been working with the colors for the sky line textures to try and get them to match what it is like in real life.
He just sent me some new one's to test so I am looking forward to seeing the new results and will post pictures of it today. |

Imagine the hottest babe on the planet, strutting her stuff in front of you, shaking her tight little bod and going "Hey big boy, don't you want some of what I've got? Take a peek!" And then she flashes a bit of her anatomy, just a split-second glimpse, and then covers back up again leaving only a memory. Tomorrow she does the same, and the next day, and the next and all the time she's teasing you with "Don't you wanna know what it'd be like with me? Well not today, you're gonna have to wait! But soon, soon now. Maybe..." and she keeps revealing different "parts" of herself, and the desire and frustration just keeps building to an unbearable level :damn::damn::damn: It's kinda like that, what we're going thru I think :rotfl: If you go for "perfection", the mod will never be released since none of us (including your mod team) are perfect and you guys will never achieve perfection in it. May I suggest, get it to a point that is "acceptable" to all of you, release v1.0, then release patches? I mean, TM is up to what, v1.6+? That would also give you a LOT more "testers" to report any probs that you can address in future releases! Just my 2 cents worth, and I should probably shut my piehole now  DH |

I know it is torcher to some of you guys totaly understand your view point and others as well!
But as far as I know and can see in the test stuff being sent to me to look at before sending to other testers we have set up there are just some things that are making us nuts seeing in our own games. Like one of the oil fire effect's are causing a drop of 25 FPS so if you are normaly getting a 26 FPS rate you will end up with a FPS rate of 1 so that is unacceptable. Plus one of the fire effect's leaves a depth reflection trail on the ocean of about 6nm's and there is a sudden change of sky line color that happens and needs to be worked out. Just a few of the new bug's plauging us at the moment. We fix one thing then get a new one or finaly notice it once we fixed the other. Plus personal lives and international time lines don't always have us all in sink in sending stuff to each other. Just make believe we are Ubisoft promoting a brand new game 2 months before it is supose to be released in the first place. We are not sitting on our hands at least I am not seeing the average work and test time I put into this one mod is about 16 hours a day most of the time. I was in the hospital for a day and when I got home answered everyone's questions and downloaded stuff from the other workers on this then the next morning after I woke up went right back to work on the mod. I would like to play my game and enjoy the work but just can't with trying to get this done for all of you. So I understand your plight and desire DirtyHarry3033 / Soviet_Warlord / C DuDe and everyone else. |

Wise words Leo ! Don't release it to early with bugs in it...whe already seen that and it's A BIG NONO .
You guy's are making HUGE steps for us and the future of this game . All i have to do ...is wait and be patience and that Leo ...is realy just a little step i have to make for what i'm gonna get (free). Take all the time needet friend ;) Keep posting those screenshots ..every day i am a step closer to making them myself:up: |
Releasing something early is really quite "unevolved" of people, but its obvious you guys are certainly quite near the top of the soup

Still, testing out WIP's is quite fun... beta releases I never have problems with, as long as they're not labeled as a complete product/mod, etc.

Well thanks to a conversation going on in the Mod forem
About Direct X shaders that I was watching I got the idea to contact a friend at Microsoft that owed me a favor and learned some new tricks to apply to the game for the reflection's work. Already here is the new results.
http://static1.filefront.com/images/...u.thumb250.jpg http://static1.filefront.com/images/...c.thumb250.jpg totaly new lighting, shader effect and coloring for the moon only 10 min work. This also allowed me to get even more of the Sun's color in a sun rise and set to show up on the surface of the ocean even better and now the wake foam also reflect's the sun's color's better as well. From white to redish orange to yellow then back to white. |
Oh boy, he dropped the hammer!! This thing is going to be sh6 by the time these guys are done voodoing it, if thats even a word ha.
