so after countless hours on patrols, I have never come across this before.

U-27, a type VIIA U-boat, approaches and inspects the survivors of the Polish small freighter " Moldova ", about 4950 BRT , following its sinking North-North West of the Danzig's bay. The survivors have been carefully questioned and, after making sure of their good health, some food provisions and fresh water have been left to them. U-27, now, continues its patrol in search of new enemy targets of opportunity.
