Hello, the download links don't work.

Which link are you trying to use? Both GameFront and SilentHunterMods have been "dead" for years, but the SubSim links for the pdf and mod should both work fine. Just pay attention to Onkel Neal's warning message at the top for the download page:

You might have to either "whitelist" www.subsim.com, or use the FireFox browser, or 'kill' all ad-blocker stuff on your current browser, or a combination of the above. The SubSim Trigger Maru Overhauled ver 2.5 link works fine here, using my Vivaldi browser (Chrome-based), with SubSim.com added to the "whitelist".

Sticky this TMO thread

Due to the popularity of the TMO mod this thread should really be stickied. 🤔

No visuals on Radio, Gramophone and Chrono

Greetings all,
I've an issue with the inability to see the Radio, Gramophone and Chronograph.

My screen size is 2560 x 1440 and the sim has been set the same.

Would anyone have the menu 1024_768.ini settings for this?
That would be greatly appreciated.

BBwalk 03-01-24 07:57 PM

I use the default position values from FotRSU v1.8 for other megamods and they work great.

CHANGE VALUES in ../Data/Menu/menu_1024-768.ini
(make a backup just in case)

I just wanted to say that I managed to get TMO 2.5 (wTw) working on a Steam Deck using v1.5 of the Steam SH4 install. So far works great. When I'm done with my Steam Deck controller profile I'll upload it to the community.

Great stuff laying in bed playing TMO on an SD. Great stuff indeed. :)

CTD

Good evening, I used to play TMO a bunch of years and a couple of PC builds ago. I've got it all installed with the mods in the correct order, etc. My issue is a CTD every time a torp hits an enemy. I've searched this thread and haven't been able to find a fix. Does anyone happen to know what the heck is going on? Thanks in advance!

Also, I am using LAA.

welcome back to TMO.

firstly, are you playing TMO ala Ducimus or ala Bubblehead? this is the Ducimus forum. BH has a different forum.

secondly, do you have SH4 installed in a non-Windows folder, meaning that you did not use the Ubi default?

thirdly, did you remember to delete your save folders after your last mod set?

Welcome back!

Thank you both for the welcomes! I'm going to have to relearn so much stuff, but that's half the fun.

First, ah, I am on the BH mod. I can find and post on that forum. Honestly, I'll play the Ducimus if it's stable. I tried to play vanilla and that is NOT where it's at.

Secondly, yeah non-Windows only for any of my games. I run a separate m.2 just for games.

Thirdly, I did. In fact this particular computer has never had SH4 on it until yesterday when I got this wild hair.

Edit: Would ya'll believe that once I went to the correct forum Thread I found the answer in about 5 minutes. I don't know why but if you don't have realistic sound travel on it causes CTDs when a torp impacts.
