Have nice weekend lads.

  and the pic on your blog showing the periscope housing from aft is excellent. Looks more toward grey than blue there, which maybe truer to RL colour?

Siara 07-25-08 06:59 PM

I think thats the effect of Mig filters. The color changes accordingly to light, and the angle of wiev.

That conning tower close-up does look very, very real.

Maybe you said earlier and I missed it, but what kind of camera are you using for those shots?

Siara 07-26-08 09:39 AM

Thank you so much for kind words.
The camera im using is just compact digital IXUS 70 mounted on the basic Star 700 EF digital tripod.

Siara 07-26-08 01:06 PM

Wintergarten completed.
I added brackets for torpedo winch, and line.

Because the light conditions were good today, decided to show You the whole model. Instead of usual microscopic deail, the lot looks like so. Added some crew from smaller scale just for fun.

Its big- watch out modem users.

Sailor Steve 07-27-08 12:29 PM

:rotfl:

The good news: it's starting to look like a u-boat.

The bad news: even with the larger pictures, you can't see the detail - it looks just like any other model.

But still, just knowing it's all there...:sunny:

Siara 07-27-08 12:33 PM

When looked at closely everything is easily spoted by the naked aye.

bert8for3 07-27-08 03:24 PM

Tks Siara  .

You have to zoom in. The model is so big that you lose detail if you fit-to-screen.

Siara 07-27-08 03:38 PM

Only one picture now, saves me wasting my time- for these that CAN see the things im doing theres always the blog.

Oh, don't get me wrong - I look at all the close-ups and love them. I was just joking about the 'overall' pictures - how you can't get close to the boat and look at it in detail.

I look at all your shots, every last one. And I go back and look at them again.:sunny:
