Brewdog "Indie"

Pleasant, creamy, frothy pale ale. Very nice to have with my pizza on Fathers Day |
Wickwar 'Golden Arrow' pale ale
https://i.imgur.com/gtMG2kV.jpg ABV 6.1%; B&M Stores
Nice alcohol hit in this strong pale ale - a sound and vaguely fruity flavour, but overall a strong ale to be enjoyed on its own rather than with food |

Robinsons Special Edition Label
https://i.imgur.com/9v5fpIZ.jpg ABV 4.7% from B&M Stores
A nut-coloured ale with a malty bitterness tempered by a soft sweetness; very nice to drink slowly Apparently produced in co-operation with Iron Maiden's vocalist Bruce Dickinson - I wonder whether that just means they kept pouring it down his throat until he fell over. Moira got this for me just because it's got a zombie on the label and she's a big zombie fan |
Marston's "Mythos" Hellenic Beer

What a beautiful beer - a blonde with none of the reedy wheat tastes you might expect - just a soft honeyed flavour with a strong alcoholic punch |
Harper's IPA

It does what it says: a very hoppy, strongly bitter ale and very enjoyable on its own. It's described on the till receipt as "American IPA" - despite the neat Union Flag bottle cap and the legend "Proudly brewed in Britain" on the neck label :hmmm: |
happy birthday! to the OP! Calls for a brew or Two!

The Kraken (black spiced rum)
https://i.imgur.com/MKH0Jc0.jpeg
Moira always makes up a goodie bag for me to enjoy on UK Fathers Day - chocs, nuts potato chips and - of course - something nice to drink. Amongst the bottles and bags today was this special rum I've not seen before. It's like Lamb's Navy Rum but even smoother, with a spicy (but not hot spicy) note. The best rum I've ever tasted, I'd say, and it's on offer at Tesco Stores for a Special Price of £20 (normally £26 or £28 she tells me) |
Kraken is one of the better makes and one I enjoy on occasion but I don't recall seeing it in that type of bottle.
My ankle biters got me the latest TOON top from Adidas and a case of mixed golden beers. Mustn't forget the bar of chocolate from my granddaughter :) |
Harper's Ruby Red Ale

Rich dark red ale with a fresh, sweet nougat taste |
Brewdog "Shore Leave"
https://i.imgur.com/slfFs89.jpeg Alc 4.3% about £2.69 from 'Costcutter'
Afraid this is just the empty - it was nice. A good full-bodied amber ale with lots of life in it from "The Good Ship Brewdog" (as it says on the back) |
Black Sheep Brewery Partnership

A magnificent flavour: no sweetness at all, instead you get all kinds of tastes pop all over the palette. A lovely malty ale |
^ Nice one.
