The term 'Broon Dog' refers to 'Newcastle Brown Ale'...there used to be hospital wards frequented by those who formed an addiction to the ale.

They had to kick Jim out of them several times because the treatment was to give the patients rum to replace the beer.:O:

LOL....just been to the Northern Model Show 2011 (less than 2 mile from my place of abode).

The standard was very high...just hope my little compact can do them justice.

I'll start a separate thread soon.

Neither have their ordnance/fuel tanks or bases fully assembled because of storage reasons.

Ooooh! Phantoms!:yeah:

Sorry to hijack, Jim, but you really cannot have too many Spooks!

I've recently completed a Fujimi 1/72 FG.1 in 43 Squadron colours like your diecast. I'll have to get some photos done, then post 'em over on Britmodeller!

Try rubbing steel wool over the whole thing then throw it up against a wall. Then it will look more like what the IRIAF flies... :03:

(if you think I'm joking, I have pictures!)

I'm not so sure the builder of those models would warm to that idea :DL

Meh!:Kaleun_Goofy:

Actually, the pics make it look better than it is! I had some silvering issues with the decals since I couldn't get a glossy enough coat applied prior to putting the markings on. And it's actually got F-4S slatted wings rather than proper F-4E one's, it's not actually painted the correct colours......;)

Anyway, here's a Spitfire (Jim'll recognise this one I think:03:)

Something for the Dutch contingent:

Finally, a somewhat dusty Mosquito:
