hey guys im looking for an english radio mod.. i downloaded many radio stations from SH4 like bbc station or trans-atlantic station but they are not working on my SH5 v.1.2 :damn: i tried everything but only Grossdeutcher Rundfunk is working fine but i want an englsih station ! i need help ! thank you

All of Fred's stuff will work in Sh5.... But most "Events" are dated for Sh4, ie,, 1940's.
I have several of his stations running in Sh5, and have composed a couple of my own, so I know they will play fine. If you are having trouble, it is probably with the "Installation". Try this : Goto **xxx\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\data\Sound\Radio** Folder. In there will be the Radio Station Folders and a file named "radio.ini" For a Quick and Dirty Test, Create a NEW Folder and Name it "My Station". Copy a few songs, News, radio shows or whatever into your new folder "My Station". ( One Song is enough for our test.... I use MP3, or ogg formats... both seem to work for me.) Now Open the file "radio.ini" that should be in the fore stated **xxx\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\data\Sound\Radio** Folder. ( Use NotePad to open. ) It will look something like this : [GENERAL] RadioRealism=Yes StartCh=1 [CHANNEL] Name=Washington Folder=Washington Freq=22 Antenna=01.01.1930-01.01.2000:44.16,-35.10:100000 MusicVolumeOnNews=0.01 Now we will add your NEW Test Station by adding this : [CHANNEL] Name=My Station Folder=My Station Freq=32 Antenna=01.01.1930-01.01.2000:44.16,-35.10:100000 MusicVolumeOnNews=0.01 When finished it should look like this : [GENERAL] RadioRealism=Yes StartCh=1 [CHANNEL] Name=Washington Folder=Washington Freq=22 Antenna=01.01.1930-01.01.2000:44.16,-35.10:100000 MusicVolumeOnNews=0.01 [CHANNEL] Name=My Station Folder=My Station Freq=32 Antenna=01.01.1930-01.01.2000:44.16,-35.10:100000 MusicVolumeOnNews=0.01 Save and close.... then go try it in Game. Your Station will be on Freq. 32, so dont forget to tune to that Freq. Any Help ? |

Just looked at this mod for the first time...
...Gonna have to get a new drive just for this mod alone! A sound mod of epic proportions! :o Sounds great, though. Will have to DL when I have the extra storage space. Thanks for sharing. |
I've uploaded an add-on for the AFRS stations. See the first post for details.

Well, I went to download KPO Radio as mine is about 2 to 3 years old, and got parts 1 and 2, but when I clicked on part 3, I got this temporarily unavailable message Fred,
http://www.mediafire.com/?piwmmpt3ayf20zo Not sure what's up, but thought I would bring it to you attention. |

Ahhhhhhhhhhh, okay Fred. Wasn't sure what was up.
I figured after all this time, I should probably update the radio stations. Just wish I had a better internet service. No highspeed cable out in the boonies. |
Good to see tou are still with us, fred. Right now I am downloading your 1910's music. I intend to install it in grammophone. I believe your instructions will help me just as well, as they did radio.
Thankyou  |
Honolulu Stations: on Download .rar Parts 1-3 are exactly identical when unzipped and overwrite the same exact files...??? :hmmm:

if you get an overwrite message you're right, something is wrong :) |
