As a sidenote I dare someone else to find me a EE country in which teachers go on a strike in the middle of the exam period. I also dare anybody to find me a country where the electrical company cuts off power for hours at a time in order to make their demands with the goverment be heard.... Anyway my schedule is ok now and I believe that you 'll have the screens pretty soon. I am currently trying to make the best possible main loading screen for ROW/SH4. And now that I am thinking of it....A quick pole! Would you prefer a main loading screen with a U-boat or with a Fleetboat? Be aware that if you choose a fleetboat you will forever be doomed to sail the pacific in 15m/sec winds surounded by the Jap Navy! So choose wisely :D |
Fleetboat please!:yep:

Though there is still few problems. 1. In XVIII you can see the sonar guy when you go to hydrophone view. 2. If you click helmsman in both IXD2 and XVIII you get "Camera out of sectors" and the view is somewhere outside the interior 3d model. 3. If you go to radar view in IXD2 and XVIII and try manually rotate the radar antenna (Insert and Del keys) the view moves up and down. 4. If you go to Interior aft in either of the U-boats you get blank screen. Other than that PE is working great with 1.5. :) |

Hi Dr. Beast, talk about badluck  to top it all I have been sick with a virus and have a feber right now, but I have been trying to optimize the game, because I think it's strange how the FPS is so low when you are near a harbour or watching a ship explode close and... I did it! gained 10 -15 FPS by optimizing some of the textures with allmost no loss of quality in the game :D

Dr beast I hope you saved your samples! I have lost a PC that way in the past. As for today... I went to the TEI (TEI is the term for the technological universities here in Greece for anybody who wonders what that means), in order to declare what courses I would take for the next semester but guess what??? Power out - so I have to go again tomorrow. I returned home , ate, took a nap :D (noon siesta - Greek - Mexican previlege) I wake up and......power out again. :damn: And this situation is going to continue for about a week with black-outs of increasing duration. Oh and I allmost forgot... Get well soon K2!!! |
Hi Kriller..Thanks for keeping up the good work. One thing i have noticed is that when in external view, I instantly lose about 10 to 12 FPS when viewing the rear of the boat. I tend to believe it must be something in the seafoam or spray. If I'm looking from the side view and pan enough to take the props out of view, the FPS instantly jumps back up. This also applies to any boat with a prop. In addition, if I'm looking at the boat at peroscope depth, the FPS stays good. That's why I'm assuming it must have to do with the foam or spray. I'm currently using GE Force 8600Gt with 169.25 drivers (the most current).

Thanks Kriller and Thanks Defiance!! |
Well I've tried all of the suggestions but I still have the red orb. I turned off the gamma correction and AA is at 4x:hmm: Maybe we can figure it out.
BTW, I'm running a 7950GT 1.4 |
Kyle,
how much red orb are we talking about here? I get a shining sun until its about 60-70% covered by the horizon, then it turns more red less shining, but i THINK thats how its supposed to be?? before i had a red orb/yellow orb, no shining 12 hours a day. |
