I've never seen a mossie with rockets... last pair of mossies I saw I decided to hang around on the surface for a couple of passes while my deck gunner finished off a merchant. I lost my nerve and crash dove what was left of my boat after their first pass. Took me a couple of hours lying on the bottom to control the flooding, lucky it was only 80m. |

June 1943, North West of England.
The crew of this dd listened probably a football match on the radio. They will never know the final score... http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/695/d001uu5.jpg http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/6573/d002tb8.jpg http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/7462/d004nv7.jpg http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/2161/d005nv5.jpg http://img529.imageshack.us/img529/1596/d007ko8.jpg |

Picked up that little number off the coast of Maine. Tracked him for 3 days and got him heading directly East to Britain. Sank him in the middle of the North Atlantic. What a lovely sinking it was. I did not show, there, how she had rolled upside down in her final moment. Unfortunately, I couldn't watch from the periscope because Jackass Joe had to radio in for seaplane assistance...:nope: |
@Chisum
It was 1-0 ;) |
Lol !
I'm very sad now... A superb armada in the North of Scapa Flow, but june 22th of 1943 was not my day, I missed the Prince of Wales, the King Georges V and the Anson !! Four torpedos fired at 4200 m and no one tuch ! Damned... :cry: But I get a good pic, a lighting between the PoW ad the KG V: http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/2407/eclairxq2.jpg |
