An ammunition ship breaks up. The final score: Japan lost two large freighter transports, one small tanker, one armed trawler, and two or three small craft. Many of the remaining cargo ships were damaged. U.S. losses were at least two Avengers, although there were probably several other crashes that weren't observed in all the confusion.
