Did somebody say it's raining in Manchester :hmm2::)

With 7 Aussie wickets down England fancied their chances of winning this on the final day.

We have been having one of the most moderate years temperature wise that I can ever recall. Our lows in Jan & Feb were around 10 degrees C higher then average. Usually our coldest months with temps sometimes in the -23 to -30C for weeks at a time yet we never got below -20C. Now this summer has been cooler then average, usually in the 20-25C range which suits me just fine. Of course for some daft reason, people are complaining about the summer that never was but these same folks seem to change their tune pretty quickly whenever we have a temps in the 25 to +30C range. A week of that and they are practically begging to see some relief.

We sure had one heck of a June in regards to rain. It wasn't to bad until about the 3rd week in June and then the mountain regions received 200-300 mm's in a relatively short span. We had a one in 200 year flood event back in 2005 but the volume recorded at a couple sites this year was at least 3 times that. One small town named appropriately "HighRiver" just south of us was about 80% underwater:

TarJak 08-05-13 04:36 PM

We lost our chance of winning on day 3 whilst the sun was still shining.

I thought a bot of both days 3 and 4.

I must admit to being impressed by just about all the Clarke interviews I've seen.
