Reg. tour on BB is OK for me.
Shooting Range: I will be there watching & taking pics, not to shoot
(unless you have BAR, Thompson, MP44 or PPSH) (M1 would do also)
Museum is OK ($5 as I am a senior)
Sailing ship is Ok also (haven't seen too many of them)
DE sleepover is good to go (sub is too claustrophobic for me)
Meals are all good (meat & potatoes man)

PS. NO Paintball (too old for physical violence, 1s & 0s work just fine for me)

@008 subsim reunion

I'm sorry lads. I'm going to have to forego the trip. Seeing that we live in Idaho and the price of gas and all that. My wife has no leave time saved up from her job with the government so Ill just have to say have a great time and send me the pics!. I especially want to see the inside of the sub and the old WW1 battleship.

This sounds interesting! Still room Neal? It would be interesting to put faces with names on here.
Anyone from IL thinking about going?

Onkel Neal 07-11-08 06:57 PM

Always room, lots of room, come one and all. Everyone is welcome.

HI All, I also live here in Houston

I am working here in houston at the US Coast Guard Vessel Traffic center and also as the Search and Rescue Director for Texas and LA.

The VTS works like an air trafic controller for all of Houston, Texas City m, and Galveston, and the SAR desk directed operations for helo and 6 ships in the Texas LA area.

If the organizer of this event would like, Contact me and I can arrange tours of either of these places in Houston or of any Coast Guard cutters or rescue stations, (yes, including the Air station) in Houston or Galveston for this event.

As a matter a fact,, I just noticed,, I live right around the corner from you Neal,, I live on Wheatstalk In Pearland,, about 1 mile from you

Hehehheheeheheheheh

:hmm: well, there certainly are times where I'd wish that I live in the US, although I really would like to meet the people in here, spending 2000 USD on a plane ticket just to get there is way out of my budget :)

Canada eh?

Hey Neal,
Any way to run a poll on how many Canadians are members? I'm thinking there might be enough of us to have a Subsim Meeting here in 2009.

Then y'all come up, hear?

Is there a deadline on registration?

Still need a bit of time to hammer out some of the other things I need to get done. I won't be able to show up for anything else except the paintball shoot, but then again I need a break every now and then.

send me a PM with your answer pls.

I can keep you company and help drive ( no tickets in 32 years). If not, just tell me and I will book airfare today. Need to know asap.
I would love to sleep 1 night on the DE and 1 on the sub. You only get one chance in life. I am also interested in the hard hat tour of the BB,, and my soul demands I tour The Alamo.

Canada: I did not include "where are you coming from" on the first version of the registration form. I've added since. But come on, we need some reps from our favorite neighbor from the north :)

Deadline on registration: not a firm deadline but I need to know who wants in on the hardhat tour and the submarine sleepover 1 month in advance, so let's say the cut off is Sept 10.

Buddha, I'm sorry to hear about your cancer :( we sure would like to see you here.

buddha95 07-27-08 02:18 PM

Let me know for sure its on and i will buy my tickets. If its not, can some of us still do it ?

Onkel Neal 07-27-08 06:55 PM

The meeting is 100% on for sure, certain. Bill Nichols has made his arrangements and that means if this meeting were to be cancelled, I would be the recipient of a TLAM ;) from DC.
