Das Pacific

oRGy 06-12-07 04:23 PM

Nope, not the Pacific. Care to elaborate HunterIX? ;)

So... either you have imported SH3 sub models into SH4 or you have been able to import SH4 water (sceen) into SH3... ;) Cool picture anyway. Darn, too bad GWX won't use anything from SH4 in their 1.04 update. :)

oRGy 06-12-07 05:42 PM

neither

Nope, not SH4, nor is it SH3!

It's a shot from the upcoming 0.3 release of the open-source subsim, "Danger from the Deep". More shots here:

I wanna know why he's cruising around on the surface with the scope way the heck up in the air... might as well hang a "Shoot me" sign from the top of that sucker.:D

The water in that sim is amazing, better than the SHIV IMHO, it shows the waves breaking much better, in SHIV you dont get the white unless theres a storm, which doesn't look all that great anyway.

I'm just waiting for someone to do a modern subsim with the stuff from DW, but in SHIV graphics lol *drool*:ping:

You guys have been at sea WAY too long... :D

IRT Seth: True, but I would think that as radar improves over the course of the war, they're going to see you long before you'll see them... I think(?).

IRT Kaleun Jochen: Testing the new rocket/submersible aircraft again? NICE pic.:D

Jimbuna 06-13-07 12:05 PM

@ Growler; Absolutely right! Radar would be the decisive factor. I totally agree, mate!

@ Jim: ..true....

Now why would half the french fleet come after me, just because of the unlucky fellow to the left off Dover? Did I just sink your paycheck, or a shipload of fine french wines?
