One of the SH5 developers send me today a message that he is looking for to find into the SH5 software to get where is a specific (mysterious)setting to allow (ALL) the objects to cast shadows below (or above) a specific resolution, now if I change the settings and increase (or decrease) the resolution, some of the shadows disappear (not all), below are my latest shadows settings, the "Interior" and "Exterior" settings are acceptable, for the "bridge" settings I need to wait for the answer of the SH5 developer to get where is that specific mysterious shadows setting with in the SH5 software
I use GTX770 and I was able to increase the overall shadows Highresolution to 12000, if I increase even more that number there is a huge Big decrease of frame per second [Shadows] NumCascades=3 LowResolution=12000 HighResolution=12000 [Interior] FarPlane=3.0 ExtrudeCamera=5.0 DepthBias=0.0005 DepthSlopeBias=2.0 Split0=0.07 Split1=0.27 Split2=1.00 FilterSizeSplit0=1.0 FilterSizeSplit1=1.0 FilterSizeSplit2=1.0 [Bridge] FarPlane=17.0 ExtrudeCamera=23.0 DepthBias=0.0000002 DepthSlopeBias=2.0 Split0=0.07 Split1=0.27 Split2=1.0 FilterSizeSplit0=1.0 FilterSizeSplit1=1.0 FilterSizeSplit2=1.0 [Exterior] FarPlane=50.0 ExtrudeCamera=22.0 DepthBias=0.00000015 DepthSlopeBias=2.0 Split0=0.10 Split1=0.33 Split2=1.00 FilterSizeSplit0=1.0 FilterSizeSplit1=1.0 FilterSizeSplit2=1.0 http://i194.photobucket.com/albums/z...psc4cc0804.png Quote:

Which number you have on the right side of the HighResolution= number?
NumCascades=3 LowResolution=12000 HighResolution=12000 |
If you want try decreasing gradually (one by one) the FarPlane number of the "Bridge" this will increase the resolution of the Bridge shadows, but as I already told you, I am waiting for the answer of the SH5 developer to know where is the (Mysterious) resolution Shadows setting to allow (ALL) the objects to cast shadows at the resolution chosen by "me"
[Bridge] FarPlane=17.0 ExtrudeCamera=23.0 DepthBias=0.0000002 DepthSlopeBias=2.0 Split0=0.07 Split1=0.27 Split2=1.0 |
Can you increase the HighResolution number to 12000 with a GTX250 ? previously I had HD5870 with just 1Gb DDR5 memory and the maximum possible HighResolution number available for that video card was about 4500, going above that number the frame per seconds suffer a huge collapse, for the darker shadows question I think the fog level your are using make your shadows look less dark, I use a "lightfog" mod to get rid of most of the SH5 fog

Yea i gotta break that habbit of biting nails,lmao. I have a few questions though,
1. how do i get rid of the auto save in game 2. how do i get rid of that annoying console in the middle? i don't mind the mission reports but those other icons are arg! 3. What is the best way to aim Torpedo's? every time i have lined up a shot it would either completely miss or not go off when they should. Even with a stern shot but by then i'm out of ammo! :/\\!!:/\\!! very annoying when i have to keep getting kills with the deck gun. |
welcome aboard
:Kaleun_Salute:Capt. Kenna!
