Hi, you need enough powerful video card to be able to handle the dynamic shadows (by at least Nvidia GTX770) and increase the HighResolution number, the Dynamic shadows settings are: Local Disk (C)/ Ubisoft/ Silent Hunter 5/ data/ Cfg/ Shadows, be aware my settings are Not perfect yet and need even more tweaks to be really good

I am trying to debug the SH5 shadows, is not easy because not all the shadows are sincronized with the same resolution to cast shadows simultaneously, therefore most of the SH5 game mesh/textures cast shadows at the same time, but some of this SH5 textures cast shadows at different time, look the photo attached to understand what I mean, I already ask for the help of SH5 developer Pintea to try to sort out this bug
