Tried this Japanese beer whilst watching the TOON beat Burnley last night and thought it was average at best.

Pours golden yellow colour and has a thin white head that deoesn't last long. Malty aroma and alittle sweet too.

Watched Leeds beat Reading last night and was ably accompanied by this nice tasty liquid.

Clear, pale yellow pour with a small white head. The aroma has corn and some cereal. It has a light body with thin texture and average carbonation. The taste is mildly sweet and slightly dry.

^ Warsteiner is considered to be a good beer, here in Germany :)

It's one of the "Sauerland" beers which all have their merits, like Veltins, or Krombacher.
I have switched to chech beers, not as bitter as the german 'Pils'-brewed ones :hmmm:

I'd like to try the "Belching beaver" though :haha:

A pleasantly surprising Indian beer. A memorable and enjoyable taste but lacks any kick and is better suited as a drink to compliment a meal than a drink to stand on its own.

Pheasantry Brewery "Dancing Dragonfly" Golden Ale

£2.19 from the Co-op; 5% ABV

Quite pricey but another good crisp and bitter golden ale

Your regular day-to-day beer, nothing specially good but also nothing specially bad.
Very clear golden colour, maybe a little too pale. Good white head that fades into a thin, lasting head.

Bath Ales "Lansdown West Coast IPA"

Four for £6.00 from Tesco; 5% ABV

This is an amazing brew: my wife was reluctant to give it back to me after getting a sip... she said it made her think of the North Downs in summer, with pervading smells of wild marjoram and beech leaf-litter.

It's described as "Big, bold & hoppy" but other than that there's no more description on the label of this fabulous-tasting beer, which is most surprising. Moira says we should get some in to have with the Boxing Day gammon... it's so much more than a drinking ale. It really is so full of flavours of all kinds... herby as well as fruity

EDIT: I forgot to check first, but this was already featured on page 16. However, I'll leave my review in place because I don't think you could ever heap too much praise on this beautiful ale

Caledonian Brewery "Deuchars"

4.4% ABV, price varies but can be ordered online for £1.67 atm from ASDA

"...fruity crisp hop, refreshing finish" a very good description for a very full, clean tasting drink

Falling behind here, have eight new ales to report but must catch up asap.

Carlsberg Export is a premium-strength lager, with a refined and satisfying taste. Brewed to the original Danish recipe, it has deep malty notes and a distinct bitterness that generate a full-flavoured lager.

Named after an early 1900’s hop store building at St. James’s Gate where hops are still stored, Hop House 13 is a double-hopped lager made with Irish barley and aromatic hops and continues the 256 years of heritage and brewing excellence at St. James’s Gate. A crisp and full-flavoured lager with subtle malty notes and fresh hop aromas with hints of Apricot and Peach.

"Drinkers of this brand are fond of its delicate hop aroma, golden color and thick, white head. The aroma, being the assurance of excellent taste, is beyond the reach of most Polish beers."

I had a bottle of that one last weekend not bad. :)

This is a low fermented beer that has a golden colour, the tone of which is given by the quality of malt used. The alcoholic content is 4,6% volume that make it suitable to drink at any time of the day. In fact it is a perfect accompaniment to both dinner and lunch or to drink in the evening with friends.

I'm not usually a fan of mass-produced lagers but in my opinion this stands out from the crowd.
