It actually bigger than it looks. I pay for what they call a 1 1/2 driveway. We park 3 cars and can get out without moving another vehicle. I have a contract for the winter, $325.00. He lets us out in the morning and comes back to clean it up. Up until a month ago I hardly saw him. It's a big outfit. My guy, who just works for someone else lives just 3 houses down the street and keeps the machine there. It's a good setup, although we were one of the last ones blown out.

Being the last to get blown out has its' perks.

A week after storm the clean up continues.

At least they got the right blower for the job. You can't beat a big rotary blower for moving snow.

Those photos were taken in the western part of the province where we used to live. We were there yesterday for a wedding if you can believe that. At the reception I talked to a guy who had just spent 25 straight hours in one of those things for a private contractor. He seemed a little hyper. :O: Despite the constant work there are still a lot of secondary roads like those in pics that are still one lane tracks.

Have I ever told you how much I hate winter?

No difference between that and our black flies except the colour. They take a big chunk out of me and I swell up. Trouble is that when I swell up I also get dopier than I already am. It only lasts for a day or so, but I can't afford that.

Winter sure is pounding you guys hard this year.
We've had almost all of January and most of February in the deep freeze, with no January thaw. I had to scrape the 2' of snow off the roof today, the first time in the 21 years I have owned this place.

That is a splendid red color on the house. My front door is bright red for good feng shui! Helps with the earthquakes when the epicenter is two hundred yards to your NW:yep: Sometimes I control the energy in 'my space'....some times the energy controls my space:/\\!! Bottom line: my shack is still standing!

If I ever see that amount of snow on my property I'll seriously consider moving to a warmer climate
