Now i have also on the left under available mods (in GME) "images" !!!!!

Do i have to enable this as i have followed the howto link in row file but there's no mention of "images"

Did follow the sequence although i have the later row version but same just updated files i guess ?

Leo i think you should also include your airbase navmap mod in this, it helps alot in knowing where the safest places are to admire the wonderfull scenery:D

i know you can just download it seperatly, but it would be easyer to include it, but i guess it will add to the MB's to download wont it.

Def the more you use JSGME the more you will understand the file structure etc and what bits you do and what bits you don't need to use to make your mods work. Took me a lot of trial and error but now I can pretty much sort out most mods for use with JSGME. Some like ROW you can simply unzip, shove in your Mods folder and away you go others need a lot of sorting out until they are ready to use.

leovampire 09-24-07 03:36 PM

unfortunatly there are a lot of people

that didn't like the airbase nav map mod once they found out exactly where they were finaly in their games they wanted less airbases and that one shouldn't be there and you did this wrong and so forth LOL!!! :rotfl:

The only one using it is Duciums T.M. mod but not all of it because they changed what I did for adding a port and ships matching up to them in dock to rework Truk island!

I would have to rework the mod to work with everyone elses new work and it isn;t an easy one to do. I might someday though once the phrases and this is done to my satisfaction.

Tater changed everything around for his mod and with other changes he did my mod is no longer compatable with his work so there would be CTD problems.

So I put it on the back burner for now.

Sometimes great idea's get pushed aside for other peoples dreams of how it should be. :damn:

Hawk_345 09-24-07 03:40 PM

thats true, i was using your mod, then i wanted to use taters improved layers so i had to overwrite some files in your mod, im still using it, and its working, i jsut dont know whats changed, its too bad that we all like diferent things:lol:

I HAVE FOAM!!!!!!!!!!, great mod:)

Also Leo, i was wondering if there are any cahnces of having some serious storms, im talking more than 15m/s winds, maybe 20-25m/s winds, is it posible on a realistic scale?

leovampire 09-24-07 04:48 PM

Hawk_345 to do that would mean sinking ships

in ports and the smaller Sampans and fishing boats as well as making it very hard to recharge batteries so nope sorry right now with the setting's it is boarderline.

My new desk top photo! Yes I watch every single sunrise and sun set and moon rise and set.

have my desk top set up as a slide show and a new sunrise is displayed everyday

I know there are people using both vs of his mod that is why I am working on both of them. Once they are both done I will post them both at the bottom of the main page and let everyone know.

Probably later on tonight should be ready or early toamrrow.

You don't need the "Images" file enabled. All that is are a collection of screenshots showing off the mods beauty. Nice to look at though;)

Hawk_345 09-24-07 05:37 PM

ok, i understand leo, too bad though, it would be very interesting to sail through a real storm.

leovampire 09-24-07 05:45 PM

it would be a nightmare to do it

Every ship in the game would have to have their surface keel depth changed which means every listing in the rec manual would have to be changed so the torpedo depth setting's would be known and the list just goes on for what would be needed to accomplish this. Plus the game dosn't seem to understand higher wind speed's so the wind coef's would have to be reworked to simulate stronger wind conditions then you have to rework the ocean effect's to accomidate it in actual physics. And I would need the game to give me another wave state other than the 4 available.

Another word's NO THANK YOU!!!!!

Hawk_345 09-24-07 05:49 PM

yes, i understand why you dont want to do it now, if i knew how to mod as well as you, i would not even do it, too much work for such a small thing when you could be working on other stuff than can really enhance the game.

How Hi Rez is the new seafoam?

because it's a big no-go for me.....and I'm running TWO 8800GTX's in SLI configuration! :o

I go from 75 solid FPS, no matter the scene....to 2...thats T-W-O FPS with this running! It's sucked up allmost all my memory I guess , which is 2g ..btw.

Now...I run SLI 8x AA and AF at 8x, no gamma AA correction....vert sync on....
at 1280x960 resolution at 75 hz.
Lowering AA and AF gets me to MAYBE 10 FPS...I refuse to disable them as image quality suffers.

Well....stock ROW seafoam looks fantastic anyway so I'm not too disappointed about the situation, I just can't understand the extra large slowdown. :hmm:

First remove the old sea foam stuff and see if the problem still exists. I am running lesser cards than you and do not have a slow down. Duel 8500's factory over clocked and I have 4x on AA and AF

The high end work is being done per request of people with high end PC's who truly want to see what this game can produce for effect's and what they can enjoy so everything is being worked on from fires to smoke effect's and more for those guys.
