True!.. kept me sweatin for about 4 hours!.. and thats the gibraltar straight BTW!.. tried getting in but to no avail!.. those pesky PT boats kept buggin me everytime i surfaced to recharge the batteries!.. so i had no option but to turn around and head back out!..

Happened to me both times I tried to get into the gibraltar straight aswell. I despise those torpedo boats, the Destorys at least are large enough to spot coming at you (and fire some fish at), but those boats are a major pain.

I had a bad day when I was coming home from the carribean after haveing fun sinking tankers and I bumped into the 2nd support group! I didn't last long under their combined efforts!:dead:

ok not strictly screenshots i know but i thoought they were interesting enough to post.
The texture used is FUBARs superb U522 texture.

some additions were made to the stock sh3 models but its still mostly as it is in game...

Mr. Chris, is that an unescorted convoy which I see before me?.....Bwahahaa :arrgh!:

also, a reminder why one shouldn't try stalking a convoy in foggy condititons, they might change course and this is what you get....

http://home.wanadoo.nl/omf17235/images/ack.jpg

that's an angry Black Swan

http://home.wanadoo.nl/omf17235/images/missedme.jpg

which only by sheer luck and some spiffy maneuvering by me managed to not ram me, but only by inches...:o

http://home.wanadoo.nl/omf17235/images/just.jpg

but this is really far too close for comfort

U-522 managed to speed off into the fog, dive and evade. but not without taking some serious damage, only the attack periscope was beyond repair and there were no casualties, thankfully.

1941, apparently they have a way of seeing through the fog....:ping:

Had some of this the other night, stormy\foggy weather, not easy hunting conditions:o

That looks so cool Jimbuna! Is that from an extra mod?
It was winter - no sun - when I saw mine so I couldn't really 'see' it.

edit - see you post in the iceberg thread now. answer there if you like as not to fill up the pic thread with letters :/

Biggles 05-13-07 10:31 AM

Just plain old simple GWX v1.03 :yep:
IIRC icebergs would break away from the ice mass predominantly in the warmer weather :hmm:
