Well done for donating, more people should do it - but you're gonna put them off with those tales!!! :stare:

I used to. One of my tales: I was donating once, squeezing the little ball like they said, when it started to hurt. Bad. Real bad. I had tears in my eyes when I said to the nurse "Excuse me. I don't like to think I'm a wimp, but is it supposed to hurt like this?" She came over and gasped, and told me to stop squeezing NOW!. I looked at the bag of blood, and instead of being half full it only had a few drops in it. It seems that the needle had slipped right through the vein and buried itself in the muscle, and the squeezing? Well, I ended up with a yellow bruise that went from my wrist to my elbow, and didn't go away for a couple of weeks.
That was back in 1971. I've given blood many times since, with no problems, until about a decade ago. It seems that they don't want it if you have diabetes. I don't blame them a bit. :sunny:
