I'm getting annoyed with those 2 planes flying around Midway day and night, leaving and entering port is a bloody nightmare, what file would I need to edit to remove them.

tis not my fault.. there are no .tga files in that folder, however i did find 4 in NKMCS_HANSA which i have now got a patch for... other than these 4 .tga files the sea folder in v0.30 master file is now clean.. so we may have a dirty couldron somewhere.:hmmm: I will download v0.40 on thursday when i'm back online and recheck the sea folders.. Another thing, the NDD_Shiratsuyu has multiple skin changes depending on dates via roster. Do we have a date on when these were skins had errors? Its hard to read on a small mobile phone. |
:har: yer off-line & defenseless, yer blamed, that's all there is to it... :har:
Hello Moonlight! Do you have an approximate date?: Quote:

Checkout the roster files... [Texture 1] TextureName=data/Sea/NDD_Shiratsuyu/NDD_Shiratsuyu_T01.tga LightmapTextureName= NormalmapTextureName= StartDate=19410701 EndDate=19451231 Frequency=1 [Texture 2] TextureName=data/Sea/NDD_Shiratsuyu/NDD_Shiratsuyu_T02.tga LightmapTextureName= NormalmapTextureName= StartDate=19410701 EndDate=19451231 Frequency=1 [Texture 3] TextureName=data/Sea/NDD_Shiratsuyu/NDD_Shiratsuyu_T03.tga LightmapTextureName= NormalmapTextureName= StartDate=19410701 EndDate=19451231 Frequency=1 [Texture 4] TextureName=data/Sea/NDD_Shiratsuyu/NDD_Shiratsuyu_T04.tga LightmapTextureName= NormalmapTextureName= StartDate=19410701 EndDate=19451231 Frequency=1 [Texture 5] TextureName=data/Sea/NDD_Shiratsuyu/NDD_Shiratsuyu_T05.tga LightmapTextureName= NormalmapTextureName= StartDate=19410701 EndDate=19451231 Frequency=1 Five skin call offs, same dates - perhaps a clash of skins ? |
At first glance cannot see anything wrong
Here is the contents of the Sea folder next to the roster.cfg http://i.imgur.com/nZvhsf6.png The roster.cfg uses 5 different textures All of them start in July '41 and end in December '45 - so it is not a date range issue Cannot see any obvious typos in there I will open up each of the texture files - maybe one of them is saved incorrectly :hmmm: |
It's been that way for quite a while, going by looking back through the beta period to the Alpha line...
All of them appear to have tga files for this one. My photoshopLE crashes when opening some of them... Edit: Check the Hatsuharu also, would you please, max-peck? Same issue with my PhotoshopLE crashing with it... |

Give it a choice of several skins on a specific date and it will randomly pick one This is how I made Razzle Dazzle:03: |

The texture files are all DDS format Admittedly the roster file says it is looking for a TGA, but that is just SH4 lying to you :03: The roster cfg looks at the filename it is after, and ignores the suffix (I suspect it may even have a preference for DDS files regardless of the suffix) This is what we have been given by UBI :/\\!! Check out other roster files - you will see they all call upon TGA files, and all actually load DDS files for the game I will take a look at the Hatsuharu for you |
I know nothing about the campaign files - so this is a question for our campaign specialists
Is there anything in the campaign files that you have seen where the game calls on a specific skin for a spawned ship? I would think that unlikely - but I am just throwing it out there :03: |
No, nothing on calling for skins max-peck, just the date parameters, and ship calls. There are differences in file structure though, from one campaign layer to the next, and that's where my concern is. We have found that having one little "I" not dotted correctly in a campaign file can cause all sorts of strangeness. We're thinking, though not 100% certain, that the "super-spawn" of DD southeast of Tokyo was caused by two sets of DD set to spawn one every 24 hours on a northeasterly route. Their "termination point" didn't terminate them, so they kept driving around the world, looping back around to their origin, gradually adding to the "armada", until they stretched from horizon to horizon... maybe. But that's what it looked like in the Jap_HarborTraffic file if you "played" it in the ME... quite a sight by the time 1943 rolled around...
