Medieval II Total War will be released on Friday November 10th, 2006. So two lads in my own country is playing the game.....and they wont give it to me?????

Bastards....:shifty:

I should also point out that if you liked R:TW then you will LOVE M:II TW cause it's basically the same engine...but better....

And oh, talk about timing. My new, fresh, and extremely competent gaming computer which we have ordered will arrive on Tuesday or Wednesday....I think a cold is kreeping up from behind....better tell the school I'll be home and...."fighting" the decease. (decease may refer to a cold or the enemy soldiers which I have to wipe out)

Just that it's the same engine doesn't mean it'll be the same experience. Look at how different Empire Earth, Empires: DOTW, and Rise and Fall were from each others. All used the same engine.

On topic: Come the beta testing, will testers be allowed to post pictures, news and videos from their copy of GWX?

From memory, I think the beta testers will only be able to talk about their positive experience with GWX. I'll assume that the Kpt & Dev team won't want all the 'secrets' given away before the 'general public' has a chance to discover them for themselves.

Ummm right... sort of... We want a chance to address negative issues before testers come here to talk about it as if it were a problem... when the whole point is to take GWX for a shake-down cruise.

Certain things that we don't want to show everybody... we will list in the tester forum.

At the moment I am tracking a new CTD generated by recent changes to the GWX files. I do not expect that this should take more than 24 hours to fix.

Believe me, we are all over it working on the problem.

Since it is a RECENT ctd... we don't have too far to back-track. Just need a little time to re-test file-sets.

That is extremly nice to hear! :yep:

Kpt. Lehmann 11-05-06 08:07 PM

Ruled out several critical file-sets today as potential cause of CTD...
Must go to work soon...

I know... I'll quit my job and stop sleeping!!! :arrgh!:

Very frustrating... knowing you are pretty much INCHES from a goal and to be temporarily stuck!

Old modders saying... "Breaking our stuff so you don't have to!"

More tomorrow.

That has to be tha hard part..... going to work and not being able to work on GWX. Being retired, I figure my SHIII and career I'm running now is sort of a job. Keeps me sane, off the streets and out of trouble. The only trouble I have is the wife complaining about me being on the computer all the time. LOL

And I thought I was the only one with that problem.

d@rk51d3 11-05-06 09:45 PM

Better SHIII, rather than a wife on E-Bay.

Mine's there all the time bidding on crap, then leaves me to sort out the payments.:damn:

Respenus 11-06-06 02:39 AM

Thank God that I'm young (very young=minor)!

As for Kpt. Lehmann. Let's all out together a fund for his payments, give him his monthly salary and make him work all the time on GWX :)

P_Funk 11-06-06 09:10 AM

Very good to hear about the GWX progress. See my thread in the normal SH3 forum for details of my harrowing experience tweaking my computer JUST for GWX.

Lehmann is there a special lady in your life that is being neglected for this project? ANd if there is once the release comes buy her some flowers, light some candles and have a sexy evening. You deserve it.

You? Sure you didn't mean she?

Even better! Both of them should have some quality time together. :yep: That is after the GWX release (yes, we are selfish and wish to play <:nope:)
