RAOBF

Hi! My first post here.

Having installed SH3 to the letter as prescribed by 4H_Ccrashh, and with Grey Wolves GOLD 3.0 as the main MOD. I am curious about the operation of the
RAOBF, only because no matter where I click it wont appear around the periscope view.

Is this functional with "ARB WideGui 1920x1080" installed by default, or is there another mod to install to make operational?

It is included, you have to click on top of the periscope.

Thanks for reply:
I have checked the cfg of the AOBFButton just to confirm what this button looks like, so I know I'm clicking in the right place! Every other function works including all the attack disks, but after two complete installs to the letter I'm beginning to pull hair. The RAOBF just isn't responding !

Captain Johno 08-17-20 12:44 PM

OK Solved!

Thought I'd go back to the source and read the release notes for MaGui F "RAOBF wheels", and particular reference to note5:

"At the start options of game ,you must have the ''Manual Targeting System'' CHECKED and the ''No Weapon Officer Assistance'' UNCHECKED."
https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/sho...d.php?t=166320

And that fixed it !!

Because I'm new to SH3, and attempting training missions with mods , I wasn't even aware of these campaign settings. So I've spent this week re-installing because I was sure the chronometer worked independently from the attack periscope (Fixed) and the RAOBF was not functional due to an install problem (Fixed).

So now onto some further training!
Happy Hunting !

Hi all,

I've recently installed this fantastic mod (after a few unsuccessful attempts - I'm very new to Mods) but am having problems getting it to load properly in campaign mode. I've been able to load single missions but whenever I try to start a new campaign from the map board in the Captain's office it loads to around four-fifths full then crashes back to desktop.

I am using it in conjunction with GWX3.0 and SH3 Commander.

Would be really grateful of any help

Have you applied the 4Gb patch? You might be running out of memory.

Cozza841 08-28-20 03:46 AM

Diego,

I was under the impression that the 4gig patch was part of the Supplement to V16b1 and as such I wouldn't have to install it separately as well?

4GB patch is part of Hsie patch, not the supplement to V16B1 who is only additional files.

Cozza841 08-28-20 05:56 AM

Sorry, I probably haven't explained myself too well here. I patched my sh3.exe with the .bat file in the main V16B1 patch kit before adding the Supplement mod to JSGME. Do I need to install the 4GB patch separately as well?

diego_gut 08-28-20 07:51 PM

You do not need to install the 4Gb patch if you already applied Hsie patch. You do need to enable the 4Gb patch by running the options selector. You also need enough RAM in your computer and a 64 bit OS. I would say at least 8Gb or RAM.

Exactly

Thanks both. I have done all of those things but still can't get it to work. Will have to uninstall and start again
