If you are not using any other mods apart from GW, you are probably using high time compression. TC more than 256 will reduce the airplane spawns.

Dietrich...that footage was awesome...thx for sharing

:o That...was...soooo......coool!!!! Excellent video, mate! I have never managed to get all of my flak guns to be the twin 3,7! Ehhh...how do you do it...? Do you need the "flak conning tower" thing?:oops:

You need to have a VII with the type 4 conning tower. To get three heavy flack positions, you need to ckick on one of the positions and then selected the heay flack of your choice. Choose the next position and repeat the process to change it and the next.

Then your ready to do some serious hunting!!:arrgh!:

Now i got it! It's time to go DUCK HUNTING ! QUACK, STUPID BRITS!! AAARRRG!:arrgh!:

I still fear the B-24 in the stock game:eek:, they lob the bombs at you from long range and they have plenty of them!! I can get away with 3-4 flak qualified gunners, I just make sure that there is A qualified petty officer at every gun. The Watch Officer also has flack qualifications.

If I'm going duck hunting, I up the ammo for the 37mm, as well as change the amount of ammo per slot (so it fits in the screen!).

It also pays to have the gunners open fire at close range, otherwise when you destroy an aircraft it might crash into you!!

Select only closing targets if you have multiple tagets. So your shooting at the one on the bomb run, not the one limping away.

Good advices, mates! The problem i had, was that i had just left port, and my ability to maneuver freely was limited...And those B*stard Brits came so quickly upon me... I will try again, trust me! Thanx again!

Awesome!!! :rock::rock::rock::rock::rock:

Before I installed Gray Wolves so my game was 100% stock
I had a U-Flack (3 sets of guns 4 barrels each) and I would leave my radar on and boy oh boy bring 'em on. Some problems with spitfires but not much, and because of the way the liberators fly it would be difficult to gun down those as they stay too far away
Everything else was fair game....
I'll try this with GW again...

gord96 04-09-07 01:15 AM

does the U-Flak have much success in GWX?

Jimbuna 04-09-07 05:47 AM

You should always remember that the 20mm quad is lethal, but only to close by and medium range targets.....the 37mm is better suited to long range targets such as Liberators :yep:

DaveU186 08-01-09 05:34 AM

I've just entered 1943 with my XXI, which doesn't have a bad AA defence, but my gunners are going to have to up their game in the coming months. :rotfl:

I guess one gets even better result if one specializes all the flak crews for their work. Or is there no difference in this respect....?
