WHERE???? I NEED TO KNOW!!!! I WANNA SINK THEM:lol: |
:o CRIKEY!!!!

I accidentally sunk a fishing boat during a storm in the Med when I rammed it, so to get off the hook I blamed Bernard. ;)
|
Blamed Bernard for what? Driving a fishingboat in full storm, or driving the U-boat? If you say he was driving the fishinboat, you might even get a medal!:yep:
But I still wonder what a Aussie is doing in the Med!!!??? Something fishy's going on here......:shifty: |
Why's that fishy? Australian troops fought in the Med, most noteably north africa... repelling the germans at Tobruk.
|
yeah I know but still....I like the Med, I often do patrols down there but I've NEVER met any aussies, only yanks, Tommies and canadians. (and, of course, Italians but hey...:) )

Oh, and BTW, the only time I've been sad about sinking a ship was when I destroyed a fishingboat outside Cuba. I was really bored, and wanted to see what would happen, so I first cracked up when I saw how it litteraly flew away, and seconds later felt gulty about my action:oops:
Later, I was terrified when I remembered that Ernest Hemingway used to sail in those waters:lol: :o :nope: :arrgh!:  (those smilies represents all the feelings I went through that minute) |
One of the Australian ships was an add on, a rose class ore carrier by AG 124. Australia had some simlar ship (BHP owned them, a couple were sunk by Japanese subs of the east coast of Australia).
One was a stock standard small merchant, so I was a little suprised to see it in the med!:o |
no kiddin'.....:hmm:
|
I had a Kiwi merchant appear out of the mist in the Med just now (like 5mins ago :D ), smack me around a bit with his gun and vanish back into the mist never to be seen again. Did a bit of damage too.
I was pretty pleased for him actually :D |
:hmm: Fog eh, that scares me too death...especialy when you cant see further then 400 - 500 meters and at the sudden an Carrier dooms up and starts shooting at you and then dissapears....:o thats what I call an Black Pearl Moment...yikes...
but my nationality is Dutch, and once I was shooting at one....well..lucky I live in spain now :rotfl: |

I dont have a problem with sinking our own ships. Thankfully the Scottish flag doesn't fly on British ships, well technically it does if you think of the Union Jack, but the Royal Navy ensign does have a big St Georges cross on it. ;)

Out of nowere a major Convoy broke out of the fog and I didn't spot them until I heard:"WE'RE UNDER ATTACK SIR!!" "Oh bugger" I thought and went to the bridge view to examine what the heck it was that was shooting on me. This is what I saw: 3 Troop Transports, 1 DD, 1 Unarmed Passenger Liner (The FIRST AND ONLY one I've ever met) and a couple of default merchants. I was in the middle of the convoy and TOTALY out of a good angle to fire any torpedo, so I crash-dived and waited until the escorts would carry on with their mission, which they finaly did. I missed my very first convoy thanks to the fog....:damn: :damn: that how I felt then, this is how I feel now::rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: |
A New Zealander merchant! I've seen one in the Med. Yes, I was surprised. I did not expect a New Zealander in the Med. I sank it anyway. :)

well who wouldn't??
Perhaps they got lost somewhere near India, wen tup the Suez Canal? Oh, BTW, check the newly added link on my signature, that may show you how serious people in the british army is...... |
