Dowly 05-22-06 10:33 AM

The first one is in bad quality with maybe automatic color correction or brightness.

Yes the first one was dark so I auto corrected the brightness.

The second one untouched, as for the water see previous post.

OMG its the NippleSpanker again!! :rotfl: Dude you gotta change your nickname to nipplespanker! :P

About "ze water". I think the greenish tint is more appropriate for shallow regions (coastal, reef whatnot) but for deeper one the dark blue one i think is more realistic. My 2 eurocents.

STEED 05-22-06 11:40 AM

Hey you got give these Mods ago and any way I don't have it anymore those screen shots were old ones. :P :-j

ok this looks cool! (at day)...
it wasnt an attack, use what you want... i was just shocked by the glowing water ;)

GreyOctober 05-22-06 11:46 AM

Getting deeper into the problem in question: water color

http://science.hq.nasa.gov/oceans/living/color.html (god bless google)

It seems that the greenish tit is mostlly given off by the phytoplancton but there are usually patches of green. So im right

edit: no intention to start a polemic..im just curious myself because

STEED 05-22-06 11:48 AM

Hey don't panic I'm not offended I got a good laugh from every one. Yea the North Pole one was very dark so I corrected it and yes the sea did look like you needed to slap on the sun glasses. :rotfl:

Uber Gruber 05-22-06 12:04 PM

Can I just point out that there are NO TREES on Antarctica...none, nada, zilch, not a sausage. There just aint any....not even in the summer! :nope:
