What changes have been made to the NYGM compatible .zon file?
Do you only have to change hitpoints or is there more to do?

I´d like to to the modification for other extra units as well but don´t know what has to be done to the zon files.
Thanks in advance and keep up the great work on extra ships!

Thanks, great work, and special thanks for the NYGM version! (hopefully it works)

The NYGM zone file only has more HP's than the stock one. There are no other changes, but that should help a lot anyway. :yep:

I haven't had time to play lately because of university work. The spare time that I have managed to find was spent getting the NCOT and NCVW ready for release. Someday I will get to sink one of my own ships in a campaign...

Has the Coastal Tanker shown up yet in a campaign?

Haven't seen a coastal tanker yet.

I could include them in the next release (giving you credit for them) or you could include them in the MVP or release them separately.

I'd be happy to, but I recently suffered a major setback in my modding - see the New Ships sticky for details. Once I've recuperated I'll be happy to help - I found the prewar schemes for some whaling companies in a couple of ID books.

BTW, check your PM.

Don't worry about it - I just read the 'Mod requests..ship' thread. Don't see a PM yet though - I'll give it a minute.

Check the 'Mod Request...' thread.

Here is a link to Filefront. (You can also see it if you click on my profile).

Both ships are now here.

Some preliminary info I've gathered for skins: the "Southern Princess" class factories would have been painted grey w/ white deckhouses and tan funnels. Another major company (Southern Whaling?), had black hulls with green waterline paint. Still looking for info on the Kosmos II's company, although they had grey for their ships' hulls. I'll give this a try after I reinstall all my drivers & software. As a plus, the funnel on the parent unit allows for logos without repetition problems like on the T-3 and coastal merchant stacks.

As with most ships I'd imagine these colors would have been painted over by mid-late 1940 with an overall grey camo scheme.

AG124,

Can you say a few words on how the damage model of the Converted Whale Factory Ship was taken care of? What was the parent ship? Did the hull was changed in any way, scaled etc.? Were other imported objects aligned with respect to damage zones so that there is no mis-alignment when gunning them down? Or was the ZON file adjusted to fit the new 3D profile (if necessary)? Maybe it is a good idea to provide such an info for other ships upon their release.

I've noticed that on the Improved Recognition Manual mod the pages are bright (like on the 1st image above) though the border area are low contrast. Will this file make the whole page 'low contrast' and is it compatable with IUB 1.03, it's patch w/ the low contrast scope/uzo option and Improved Recognition Manual mods (which are the only ones I'm using), and if so, would I be correct in saying that it would be extracted into the Improved Recognition Manual mod within the SHIII Mod folder?

AG124 04-12-06 07:45 AM

Yes, the darker ID image provided here by JonZ will give you an entire low-contrast page. To use it, place it in the NCVW folder (replace the file that is there already. :yep:

Boris 04-12-06 09:38 AM

Here are the low contrast pages for all of AG-124's released ships, that I posted elsewhere a few days back:

A small bug is reported by the german ubi forum:

I know about that - the same problem exists for all of the ships I have released. I haven't adjusted some of the weapons nodes yet. That will be fixed next month, hopefully.
