Very nice job...........

I've found the easiest way to check if the Hi Res mod is working, is to take a screenshot, using the Printscreen key. Open this with Paint Shop Pro or similar and then check the image properties - This will confirm if you are running at the desired resolution.

Start with Real U-Boat, after that you can install the rest in no particular order.

We have just finished a 2 day holiday.

Don't assume you're being ignored just because you didn't receive an answer. This goes for everyone here. SubSim posters are most helpful but sometimes posts get lost in the sauce. :yep:

To answer your question, I state on my page: "The order in which they are listed is the order they are installed in. This is important, as some mods override files supplied by previously installed mods."

There is order to my order.

I have some quest/suggestions:

1. Regarding the Hi Res mod. I simply threw the 2 files associated with it (according readme) in SHIII main folder. As my max res is 1280*1024 and the cfg file already shows this, am I correct to assume all work is done and the game now functions at the higher res???
I find it hard to check if I did it succesfully...

Follow what the SH3 Community Manual says about installing the Windows Application Compatibaility Toolkit and defining SH3 to it. And of course, read the HiRes DLL Mod's ReadMe.

2. In an attempt to return your favor (and taking the chance of pointing you out to something outdated) I like to suggest the following mods I used to have and found very cool:

a. "SH3CrushDepth_build55" A mod enabling you to randomize the crush depth of your current boat within historical limits. No boat will be the same...
This sounds interesting but, for example, does it vary the crush depth of the same sub over different patrols within the same career? I wouldn't like that.
Quote:

b. "sh3inttexv1" An eye candy mod significantly improving interior textures. Especially nice if you, for example, compare the metal floorparts of the ship with the default ones, and many other good things. (after my attempt at HiRes, those panels still werent THAT good)
I already list Pascal's VII interior, which is recent and impressive.

I have no idea which is better.

Thanks.!

Hello mylady,

1. Read the readmes did all the stuff and think the HiRes works now.

2. I forgot were I downloaded it, but the SH3CrushDept_Build55 was made by a guy named Timetraveller. Captain America specially made
a new deptgauge texture ranging up to 400m to show you your depth in the VIIC/42 boat. Using the keyboard actually allowed you to descent below 260m (max on dial using mouse) and had a standard VIIC
Crush at random and secret value (for the player) of around 280-300 meters. (actual value selectable from menu :plus 20 or minus 5 percent of set meters, finding out is game over as in real life) All boats classes can be seperately entered. This value did not vary in between patrols. To change it, you would have to restart the little program as you would when changing boats or restarting a career.
What pleases me is in this program is finally having the feeling the boat
has a crushdepth I really dont know and would make me sweat as soon as I go really deep.

3. OK, ill check Pascals mod too, and will let ya know if any significant differences arise.

Cheers, Trebby

I will apologize to everyone in here.
